People Of The Flame: David Adams Explores The Ancient Traditions Of Iran | Perspective
Iran is one of the earth’s final frontiers. It’s a country little visited by western travellers in recent years, yet it has been at the centre of world affairs for millennia. I wanted to take a peek “behind the veil” of modern-day Iran. What I discovered was a complex, incredibly hospitable people living in a much-misunderstood country at the heart of a troubled region. My journey takes me from the bustle of Tehran, via the Valley of the Assassins to ancient cities unchanged since Marco Polo first entered them eight centuries ago. But this isn’t just a journey through an ancient landscape. It’s a journey in search of one of the world’s least known religious sects ... the ancient Fire Worshippers Of Yazd.

The Roaring Twenties was a period in American history of dramatic social, economic and political change. For the first time, more Americans lived in cities than on farms. The nation’s total wealth more than doubled between 1920 and 1929, and gross national product (GNP) expanded by 40 percent from 1922 to 1929. This was largely in thanks to a number of powerful families whose entrepreneurship c...

Thank you,.....
Wonderful in many ways, but the hands… having so many assistants to create these masterpieces, but none to paint good, lifelike hands.
Does anyone know the name of the song at @3:45 ?
He visited an exhibition of Islamic art shortly before undertaking the portrait, the influence is obvious
Garbage unfinished childrens art.
Wonderful. Makes art history come alive!

Thanks for explaining the dutch angle thing and a warning to us guys.
Barbarians were not unintelligent. Lol. Hungarians tend to revere such figures as Attila the Hun and Viktor Orban.
Islam, and apparently Ancient Greece, are right about women.
I wonder why Europeans are the only people who have created such beautiful art. Have you seen art from other continents? It’s all shit.
Hudd Bopkins.
The narrator/host is annoying. He seems intent on making this production as much about himself as The Rococo.
She’s literally an everyday person who got with John Lennon and said “hey, I’ll give this art thing a go” and was famous because of the person who married her. Didn’t have to work for it at all
Here is how i look at it, the Old Masters were contemporary to the time they lived and held to a far different mindset than modern life. Modern Artist are handicapped by the worship of money. And... Time is money.
A deep, intense tour de force on your part Waldemar. Bravo. Hats off to you! Merci beaucoup mon ami. 🙏
The Card Players would now be sitting staring at their Smartphones.

So, is it attributed to the Baker of Bath? And, One other question not explored is Did the Baker of Bath have the need to paint over anything at all, and especially a Michael Dahl portrait? They explained Bath used a Dark primer. Further Examination of Dahls work to show he did this would be more convincing to me than a last minute critique on the technique being forced rather than Gainsborough's flowing...
Very good decision friends, all to be explored all over again, all to understand the genius artists all over again. Michelangelo said, artists are God's favorites and I am very much agree...we can twist the concept and support the theory, God is using artists to send us messages that we still have to understand deeper, a real treasures map to be discovered, good reporters as genius guides are very helpfull, let's enjoy the episodes all over again ❤🎉❤
😮
Mt Rushmore is hideous.
I hope that nasty Ali from Emmaus has learned to lose gracefully. She trashes everyone in this video,, then behaves worse than anyone when she loses. Shameful.
Bravo and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm 77.
Better without music, pls! Wrong choice of music, if any, and awfully repetitive.😓 I like chopin piano music, and enjoy listening to it at times. But, in this documentary, (which apparently is copied from Cromwells), the music really gets on our nerves, as it's repetitive, loud, and like waiting on the line to get a switchboard operator on ths phone!! 🤭 😔 Interesting documentary, about Monet, otherwise. But, I had to quit halfway, the music cut my pleasure.
Thank you for this excellent documentary on Renoir, his art and life. I agree the art expert with the lispy, hushed, child's voice is so affected it's grindingly irritating and positively insufferable.
For what were Flanders known? Flanding?
I thought we called Christmas, X mass so non Christians would not be offended.
Charles beknighted him.
His nude paintings remind me of Cezanne; the play of color on the folds of garments reminds me of Michelangelo.
Ironic thing, because of this happened, it made it more iconic and value is more
For those of us who sculpt for a living...i agree with you.....
Tears in my eyes.....fabulous story,....fantastic conclusion...thank you.
Minute 06:05, you need to understand Leonardo as ...very Italian kind of guy, most his works were ordered, most of the times Leonardo cared to be paid ..then he was free to afford himself such ... alternative hobbies. If Mona Lisa was not preordered.. ops, we have to understand, Leonardo has a crush on her but then deeper scanning technologies revealed, he made so many ...photoshop tricks, the woman of his dreams was only in his artist fantasies...he invented the cinema special effects which we call them today.. computer artificial intelligence 😂😂😂😅😅😅
Get inspired friends, show must go on, you need to get born again from the own ashes.. because Renaissance is this gorgeous, when you have nothing to lose because everything went lost.. the best reason is get everything all over again, like Leonardo da Vinci's vision, build the world all over again as we prefer to enjoy it. Leonardo said that Mother Earth's so beautiful because so scientific, we still have so much to discover... really a lot. Good TV hosts are always welcomes as best touristic guides to show us the way❤🎉❤
Great advice! Luv ur outfits btw
the best ever! Picasso! I saw les demoiselles d'avignon in person during december 2022, and got a picture with it! you could go right up to it, it was insane!
Picasso is a combination of time, love and passion for creativity. I'm not sure if I believe in natural talent, but maybe someone who can achieve such mastery has some kind of genetic set of predispositions which make them more capable. His first word was pencil, he drew and painted since birth, all day everyday, with intense love and obsession and not out of force, and up until the hour of his death. That much time and passion makes it seem impossible for another human to catch up to him. So especially when i see his later paintings, ones that critics call bad paintings or that he'd lost it, i just think of the absolute master of painting and art made that so it has to be respected and that we can't comprehend it for how deep he's gone to get there lol!
Outstanding presentation of Venice, history, art. Thank you Waldemar, you transformed Art Masterpieces into divine spheres. You are magician.
🩵
To me,.... It's almost superfluous as to where or by whom it was painted ...it's beautiful,...and masterly done,... Thus there is it's value.
Thanks!
The story Waldemar told is just adorable! Thank you for the film ❤
Saranno x sempre Elizabeth Tzylor e Richard Barton. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rubens is an undeniable genius. Outrage against him is simply a rejection of his style, manner, method, not a challenge to his genius. What is striking about his paintings? This is an unmistakable sense of composition, the colorfulness, spontaneity and abundance, breadth and scale, DYNAMICS permeating everything! This powerful plasticity and dynamics are even somewhat similar to the energy and plasticity of Michelangelo's work. Sometimes Rubens makes you dizzy, he is so oversaturated, so musical!
If theres not a body in the USA to qualify an original or fake then how in reason does anyone have authority to prevent the owner from showing her compared painting . Seems over reaching !
Performance art?
this man single handedly re-ignited my dormant interest in art and reminded me of my love of the impressionists......merci mon ami
IT'S A NOVEL!!!!
Nice try at trying to bring everyone together but no cigar! What was not mentioned by anyone was the fact that all Europeans, including Brits, are now robbed of the freedom to travel, live and work wherever they please within the European community. Who can possibly consider themselves a winner in that amount of loss?
