deano spent a pleasant afternoon down the patch assembling an arrows hobby p-51d mustang pnp with retracts of 1100mm wingspan, received from j perkins and sold by tjd models, als hobbies & motors and rotors & wheelspin models, nexus modelling supplies,
prices range from £179.99 to £204.99
as the pics show there wasn't much to do to put the model together - just six screws & connect the elevator and plug in a 6 channel or more rx of your choice (not included in the kit) bolt on the prop and strap in the battery of your choice (not included in the kit)
the manual suggests a 3 cell 2200mah lipo but we used a 4 cell 2200mah lipo and the 40 amp esc seemed to cope well with the 5 or 6 flights weve had with her so far,
the quality of the kit is very good and everything fitted as it should and deano was pleasantly surprised at her flying qualities !

As one of your regular "PEEPS" I was rooting around in your old videos...You know that is why I purchased the old E-flite T-6 Texan....and what do I find? Another model that fits my car and flying park. I wish you and Deano would quit doing that. Now I've got to start begging for Father's Day in a few months. Thanks Deano and Pete. Jim

And can I just say, I LOVE that you cut/edit out the bits where the plane is out of focus, to far away or just not a good shot. I really wish more folks would do this when filming RC Planes.

I’m a big fan of the ArrowsRC line of planes. I started with their T-28, then their Corsair, the Marlin, Viper and the 1800mm Husky. Easy to assemble, the paint they use holds up better than any other brand, very dense epo foam, just well built. I still have my 5 year old P-51 Eflite Blondie, so I skipped ArrowsRC’s P-51. As soon as I crash the Blondie this will be its replacement. (LOL!)

@@tbobborap1I paired up all my ArrowsRC planes/jets with the Admiral 600sp with gyro/stability. Seems to be a good combination for someone like me, who, when I bought the T-28 I was at best an Intermediate pilot. The Eflite P-51 came with AS3X which a year into the sport made me think I was better than I was. I have no ego or shame. Anything that’ll help level out a Warbird or a jet I’m all for.
You probably mentioned it in the overview, what receiver do you have in the ArrowsRC P-51?

Hi Deano, P-51 is a good flyer and a good look. I have one of the early series, and fly with 4S. I am very happy with the dimension, I called this CTMOP = car trunk model in one piece.
Note : once 3D always 3d RC pilot. Cheers.

thanks cali, no we never did get around to trying out a 4 cell battery but we did use a 4 cell on the arrows hobby F8F BEARCAT with awesome results and the ESC has never failed after a year - check her out here - czcams.com/video/2RTrMl_UYcU/video.html

How much throw do you have on your rudder. My manual calls for 27mm left/right. High rate. And 20mm low rates. Aileron is 12mm up/down Elevator is 16mm . Rudder seems awful high maybeva misprint in my Arrows manual ??

hi Richard, no need for measurements just look at the pics at the end of the video, we dropped the flaps down to nearly vertical and they work fine ! happy landings
what switches are you hitting? I hear lots of toggle clicks.
Nice video, I like the 4S power. How many Amps does it pull on that setup, did you try an ammeter?

always buy a decent radio especialy if you intend buying more models in future, spektrum or futaba are the leading radios, wouldnt know about any budget radios im afraid bird
