- In this tutorial we are going to take a look at adding sampled loops to our Pa5X. We will create pads with house loops and acoustic loops. Also we will replace the drums from a song style with an acoustic drum loop. For this example we are going to use a style and replace the midi drums with an acoustic drum loop from a real drummer.
So a really interesting tutorial that will add a lot of value to your pa5x once you know how to do this.
But first an important message. When you start with these things it's absolutely necessary that you have created a backup of your Pa5X, this is because you are going to add a lot of samples to it and if you are making a mistake it will take a lot of time to delete every sample manually. So be sure that you have a backup of your pa5x before you are going to try the things I show in this tutorial. On my youtube channel there is a in depth tutorial for that on how to safely backup and load your backups on the pa5x. So if you didn't do that, watch that first before trying the things 'm going to show you in this tutorial.

Thank you very much, Qui - this is one of the best tutorials I have seen in my life! There is a discussion about this video on Korg forums! Please join us. The topic name is "Drum Kits: Problems and Solutions"!
Absolutely excellent. Just bought a Korg PA5x 76 key version. I already own Genos 1 (which is actually very good and simple to use). I can see the Korg is aimed very much at the tech savvy workstation user since it is very configurable as you have demonstrated so well in your video. Far more creative and fun.
Man wilde toch nog eens benadrukken dat we je dankbaar zijn voor al het werk wat je er in stopt en aan ons uit wil leggen!
So much to learn in this Pa5X :-) with a great Teacher in Mr QR ! Thanks again for great tutorial !
Thanks so much. I learned a lot from your clips. 👍 I have been looking for this tutorial for quite some time.
Thank you for always sharing your videos of the excellent Tutorials that help us a lot! Excellent weekend to you.
Superbly done .. amazing playing too … thank you

Kupuję 5x jest bardzo dobry
Nice Korg just no auto crash simbal chez Korg after loupes
Hi,,,awesome. Can we create voices like this...
Kindly do a video or reply the strategy. Thanks 😊
Superb! What happen with wav files that are not that accurate? Does the Pa5x fix this? I'd like to see if the fill in variation can be the same.
I believe that we can do our own drum loops by using VST and then exporting them to wav. That's excellent news!
It tries to fit the samples into the measures that you have entered, so it will correct some of the flaws if you don't have perfect loops. But if the loops are garbage then the rule applies: garbage in -> garbage out. So the best results are with good cropped loops (which you can easily do yourself in a daw). And yes, you can create really nice loops in your daw. There are a lot of tricks that you can use in a DAW which will give you fantastic loops. I do this a lot in ableton live. For instance Granular loops, vocal loops, transient shortened loops, loops with delays, top loops, the sky is the limit this way.
Nice video . Can we change Split points of sample loops manually?
And another question, can we change CV leanth imported to pa5x
Hi Thx for your help... looking to buy a PA5x for my Duo How long can the Matrix loops be on the PA5x and are they similar to what the the Phantom keyboards can do Cheers Grant
Thank you! And One question. After Timeslice a sound...¿Is it possible to repeat the operation and place the new samples on other notes on the keyboard without losing the previous ones? Or every time I do a TimeSlice do I need to spend a memory from the User drum bank? Thanks again and best regards from the Canary Islands.
Question, my loops when i play sound like its playing softer when it loops, like the attack is set to 30 how can i fix that?
Do you know how to import bunch of sliced drum kits in wave format into the keyboard to use them as a drum sound or sampler sounds ?
I used the "Time Slice " function but I was not satisfied with the way that it was slicing my loop into bunch of samples, so I used Logic Pro X to slice my loop into bunch of individual hits and I want to import them into Pa5x.
Is there any way to put sound loops in the style?
Can we slice loops manually ?thanks
Why you have choosen 76 keys instead of 61keys?
Hello Qui ,
Is your samples in stereo if so what program are you using for creating it?
❤️
yes, these are in stereo, i've created them in ableton live and exported them as 16 bit 48 khz wav files
Hi Great video, while trying to do this my drum loop appears one octave lower when auditing and gives a half tempo.. can u assist me how to address this
yes, play the c note one octave higher, you can audition it at various speed, it's explained in the video
Can you walk us through your process of sampling sounds from CZcams? I'm having troubles when I sample from CZcams and there's a break in the sound. The Korg will have an error when there's a file with a large gap in time before it starts. Wondering how you deal with this process.
when you sample sounds there is a limit of 21 seconds for the sample (1048576/48000) on the korg pa5x , your sample must be shorter than that value, otherwise it will be cut at 21 seconds. Then load the sample and set the start point to where it starts.
If you have a drum loop in style can you change the tempo?
@@enesjumerovski9290 yes
Do you sell Greek drums loops in audio format?
no, i don't have sounds for sale, only free tutorials how to create them yourself
