The Lost Nokia Games

- We finally can explore an archive of games from over 1000 years ago, using the world renowned Nokia platform. There is a surprising amount of games that ran on several different early 2000's Nokia phone variations, but we will only play the Sonic ones because I don't like Sonic very much. Most of these games are from 2008 or 2009, and are tiny mobile versions of pre-existing games like Sonic Unleashed or Sonic All Star Racing, but there are a few originals, and also a version of Sonic Adventure 2 that is nothing like Sonic Adventure 2, so in short, I have no idea what's going on. As an extra fun fact, my only experience with a Nokia phone was an old, non-functional 3310 that I bought from a thrift store because I was like 8 and thought it would be a fun toy.

I honestly feel like most of these games wouldn't have been half bad back in the day, I can see myself playing some of these to pass the time back when I was a kid. And I'd imagine it would be A LOT better if you didn't have to press each button individually with the mouse.

Sonic Jump actually got a sequel many years later on the App Store and Google Play Store called Sonic Jump Fever. You could use chaos like power ups and level them up to gain special abilities like a ring magnet or being able to take an extra hit. I don't know if it's available anymore but it was a decently solid game. Think of Sonic Dash but with jumping
it's still available, i think, but unfortunately, the servers to the game has been shut down, since much like "sonic runners", the game was always online, so when the servers closed, all online functionality ceased. oh, and i guess sega forgot to update sonic jump fever to remind players that the servers were closed

Nostialga overload! I played some of these games on my nokia 6600 and sony ericsson phone back then. It was an amazing experience.
Tip: There's another java emulator called KEmulator that runs some java games just fine. Worth checking it out sometime

Sonic Unleashed Mobile, Sonic the Hedgehog Golf, Shadow Shoot (the "Dark Sonic" game in the video), Sonic 2 (split into two parts as Sonic 2 Dash and Crash) and Sonic Jump (not to be confused with the remake(?) for iOS and Android) were actually dope.
Also, 11:53, it said Yoyo Fighter in the main menu, so it must be the original name.
It's so funny how they made the Russian names for Sonic characters. The best part is that the pronouncation is right!

Sonic Adventure 2 China is actually a game released to promote Shadow the Hedgehog called Shadow Shoot, it's probably one of the better Sonic old-school mobile games. Also Sonic Jump has a remake and sequel on modern smart devices, but I had no idea the original had an actual story
