- This is the real start of the Kalahari Rally in South Africa! We have to leave early morning and start riding in the dark still. Things don't exactly go to plan this stage though!!

She and the Philip guy came in third and fourth but Noraly was already way ahead and circled back to check if Philip was okay, worried that he fell somewhere. What a class act this Dutch princess is, man I tell you!
The Pride of the Dutch, a National Treasure of the Netherlands! Noraly and Savanna. The World is behind you.
thefuq is wrong with you
Yes Noraly the whole world bike lovers are watching you stay safe and be blessed
@@pukinator1 ??? Way to stay positive Niekiiee
She is something very special.
Niekiiee that is something you should ask a mirror
You get in the competitive mod and won't even stop to change batteries...but when you lose track of a fellow rider, you not only stop, but BACK TRACK to be sure they are OK.
Super big THUMBS UP to you Noraly!
I laughed when you suddenly realized you'd become competitive. The Noraly Racing Beast has come out and its a whole different kind of show! I like it.
If Noraly stays on Savanah we need to get her a bigger tank. I am in for my piece. I cannot believe that Honda has not chimed in here much less give her some tech support along the way. This one video series will sell a 1000 CRF300L's and maybe some Rally models also. Noraly deserves a better rear shock, full blown front forks, not the wimpy one spring only stock set up, the best crash bars/skid pan, a lower front brake line, a higher stabilized GPS mount, and as mentioned above, one of the many larger tanks available for the 250L. Go Noraly and Savanah!!! Bob in Nevada
I've been thinking that about Honda myself. Definitely missing a fine opportunity with our Noraly.
So she needs a ktm 450 😀
Been thinking exactly the same
I love watching her videos, but I think she can afford to buy her own tank, she earns around $20,000 usd a month from youtube and her merchandise sales
@@Mrbumbons1 Yeah if she had a KTM 450, she would be making much better time out there. Not that she's slow on that Honda, considering what it is, she is doing quite well.
I love that you know and ride to the limits of Savanah's ability. You can't do any better than that! Well done!
I have 54 years experience riding bikes from 50cc to 950cc about 50% street and 50% dirt. With all that I may or not be a good rider (I just get on and ride), however I've been around long enough to know a good rider when I see one. I'm speaking about you Noraly. The best part I like in this video is when Noraly turns to one of the other riders and says "This is fun, isn't it?" This ride is kicking every ones rear end and Noraly says: "This is fun isn't it?" Love, Love, Love this episode. Smiling again.
Well she said the elephants in Botswana were "nice" when asked if she was afraid of them.
@@Olgi41 lol Gotta love this gal.
I'm in the same category as you with a lot of dirt and street riding. I really agree with you when you compliment Noraly. No two ways around it, she is a really good rider.
I echo everything you say.
And must be fit as hell. If i do 100km on dirt, I am dead tired and not even racing.
Yes Noraly is a pretty good rider but don't forget she normally does this type of thing with one hand while flying a drone with the other !
Respect Noraly ! 👊
I hope you will finish all stages and get to the final end of this race.
And then, independent off any result or place, YOU will be the most famous racer ever in the history of Kalahari Rally !
She is the only woman lol
@@johanswart8116 There's been others before her. Dienks was the first , Christine Steinkrauss was another in 2019 .
Noraly, I don't mean to be "sassy", but you made this look easy, based on some of the previous trails and mountains you have tackled on this adventure. I'm actually glad top speed for you is 120KM! So fun to watch, and the men are being fair and respectable with their compliments. You go girl!!
She's great, ain't she? What a lovely attitude toward others . . .
+100kph on a dirt road on a bike sounds pretty scary
I AGREE!!! With a daughter Noraly's age, I fret with each wild portion contained in her videos. The "adventure" I love , the WILD side of this racing girl makes me breathless😮
@@FlixTraveler youre right. That s how we South Africans show respect.
She proven again and again she is a top class driver, an ambassador for humanity and humble hardworking beauty. We are lucky to have her videos. Best of the best. I always wonder why bike companies don't sponsor her. She can skyrocket any bikes sale.
There are two types of people in this world when it comes to motorcycles: those that "get it", and those that don't, and never will, and you can't explain it to them. Noraly "GETS IT"!! She is an excellent rider, fearless, knows and trusts the Garmin, does NOT get distracted, fearless, knows her machine, what it will do and what it won't, fearless, and is in RACE MODE. Did I mention FEARLESS. I get so caught up in the vids, squirming around in my chair just watching her taking the blind turns and branches in the face. WHAT A GAS!! Been looking forward to this ALL DAY!! THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!! I say she finishes in the top 5.
Fun to see how much she has improved since the training episodes in Oman and the Motocross training in the Netherlands.
And the training at Assen.
I'd love to see her return to the offroad/Motocross training. I can see, " Ok, down the hill, use engine braking, then hard right at the bottom, got it. Mind if ride with one hand while holding a selfie stick?"
Noraly, what a wonderful woman you are! Riding my bike I imagine being you sometimes)))) I like your vision of this world, your attitude to people, places and circumstances! Ride safely and continue to live your live!
Has Honda reached out to Norala for a sponsorship? She is an amazing rider and her Africa adventures has been a great testament to Honda reliability. I think they need to sponsor her for more rallies!
Honda or Royal Enfield. She's definitely sold more Himalayans internationally through her channel than any ads from the company.
@@godoftenors Don't think a Royal Enfield would stick the abuse that little second hand CRF250 has taken, Honda build great bikes, but a bike is only as good as the rider and Noraly is one of the best, a truly amazing inspiring woman for sure.
It would definitely be to there advantage for sure 👍👍👍
@@godoftenors I know nothing about motorcycle makes or manufacturers but that little Honda with its heart of steel I'm sold as an old seaman Itchy and wind hippie all an old man can say is GO GALS GO! my respect for you girls is beyond words!!!
All I can say after watching this, is that you are most definitely the Queen of the Kalahari! What a pleasure to observe your skill. Well done Noraly.
I never would have seen this without you Noraly. Your experience as a rider really shows in this challenge. So cool to hear praise for you from other riders. Ride safe Great Lady👍👏👏👏
Agree with you
Nor would I, really never :o
Kudos to your friend for coming with you on this rally
" Not a lot of girls can ride like that." Mister, that's our " Itchy" not a lot of blokes can ride like her.!!! Sat gripping the edge of the table watching this episode. . Go ! Noraly, you show them what you and Savanna can do...
The congratulations you've been getting for your riding must be very satisfying.
These are trail-warriors calling you one of their own. Well done, Noraly.
I will say it again, the Dutch are truly driven, and Noraly is more compeitive than i thought. Her skills have improved, and wish her all the safety and best outcome.
Everyone is driven ,not just the bloody Dutch 😆😂🤣..
Good heavens Itchy, what an incredible speed you show on those dirt roads. Amazing skills. You have gained a lot of admirers among the other participants.
It makes a difference when the word 'race' is involved. You were more flat-out than usual, which was exciting for me. The guys recognize your strengths and compliment you on it. Good for them! This is such a unique experience for me. I'm thoroughly enjoying it!!! Have a blast!!!
When the guy said, “most women can’t ride like that.” BS. Most PEOPLE can’t ride like that. You rock!
Yep, I caught that little bit of misogyny, too. Disappointing. Noraly has a particular sense for handling a motorcycle that you just can't learn. This is most evident when she lets the bike have its head in deep sand at high speed. She relaxes, modulating the wiggle with the throttle, never letting it do a tank slapper. SO GOOD.
Casual sexism is part of everyday life for most females who are doing things that are considered to be “masculine “, in saying that the supportive blokes far outweigh the sexist ones, still disappointing though because there are a lot of women who ride well.....he just hasn’t seen them.
I know, that irritated me too..its not most women, it's most people.. Period!
You know, I believe your Season 5, “Destination Unknown”, could have just as easily been called “Destination Right Here”! Because at the end of every episode, especially in this awesome Rally, you have such a fulfilled look on your face that it shows your sense of happiness is continuously being achieved, and at the end of each of those days, you HAVE found your destination!
And all of us viewers have too!
It’s been said, “When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor, it’s to enjoy each step along the way”.
Noraly, I do think you, Savannah and us are enjoying this dance quite nicely…!
Splendid.
"If I'm here, AND you're here, doesn't that make it OUR time? And what's the matter with a little feast on our time? " - Jeff Spicoli
Noraly, It's so very nice to see other riders complimenting you. You have shown us over the 5 seasons what you are made off, so go girl.... go for gold. Really happy for you that you came in 3rd on your first rally. And I for one would never have known what it's like to be in a rally were it not for you taking me along on the ride. You were doing some really great speeds there in the sand and around those bends. Nice placement of the camera, it gives me a good idea of how hard you are pushing Savanna. All the best with up coming races and ride safe. All your followers are rooting for you and Savanna.
How fantastic to see you and savannah having a blast! I am also very impressed with the blokes around you..so far it seems sportsmanship is bloody brilliant. Well done Noraly.
WOW, I’m impressed that the guys are impressed. All those training rides you did are paying off. You go girl. Ride safe.
One other thing that really impresses me in this vídeo is that even at high speeds in a tiny tricky dirty track you are just so relaxed and chilled. And Talking to us like was nothing going on. Incredible. You are a natural. 👏👏
I remember the "woooos" back when I was riding. You hit something unexpected and are past it before you can react.
Norally, you just keep stepping it up. You are amazing beyond all expectation . Dakar rally next? I suspect sponsorship will flood in. You make your followers so proud, thank you for being our superwoman.
May be Africa Eco rally before Dakar ....
I can just imagine your off-road instructors back in Europe all proclaiming “I taught her everything she knows”. Whereas we all know she really learnt her craft at the School of Hard Knocks. 😉 Your experience at off-road riding is shining through.
Noraly is not only a brave & great world explorer but a good samaritan & angel as well, kudos to u,Noraly👏👏👏
You have become a hard core dirtbike rider. You seem to be in your element.
You don't normally ride like this - fast, racing type riding where you know there is assistance should you need it - but just be aware, even very experienced and skilled riders like yourself, and many of the others, can become over-confident and complacent - it is a known issue, so just take it easy sometimes.
No-one wants to see you hurt and out of the rally. Take care, but carry on enjoying.
I was thinking the same thing. Don’t let all the complements get into your riding as to making silly choices. I think you know how much we all love you. Go fast, go strong, go Noraly!
Dude, relax, this rally ended more than a month ago
Have you ever rode a motorcycle???
I have. Noraly, I am 53yrs old, been riding every sort of bike my whole life. Still ride motocross, road, adventure bikes. I have competed in the "Fink Desert Race" in Australia. (look it up) I have watched most of your vidio's, I think you are killing it!!!! Just wished your bike had more grunt and you would be putting more to shame!!! Go girl, you're doing great!
'On her bike' took a serious tumble years back, broke her leg and had following issues requiring hospitalization later in her trip. It happens to the best of us.. ;}
Very fast and smooth riding on this stage. Despite the top speed being somewhat less than the bigger bike you did great! You certainly gained the respect of the riders in your group. Ride fast and free. You are doing great! Thanks for sharing with us.
NORALY, I really like the other riders complementing you on your abilities. They are sincere and you can feel they have a twinge of awe at your expertise! Ride hard/ride safe!!!!
I hope there will be more female rider participating in Kalahari rally after this. All thanks to Noraly.
There really should be.
Big thanks to Mandy for being there with you and helping out. Must be great to share your experiences with her. To me, it looked like you were riding the technical stuff at the limit of what was possible. You show great skill as an off road rider, regardless of gender. I enjoy the race, very much exciting and engaging. Looking forward to the next stage.
Her training in trials helps a lot.
You’re truly fantastic! And hearing all the respect from other riders in bigger bikes is so cool! Go, go, go!!!
You're a legend, ms Boots! I got an adrenaline rush! Great camera view over the bars, the music added to the excitement. Beware of "The Cows of the Kalahari!" Go get em! And good luck!!
What a Queen!!! Those riders just join the choir, all of us already have a Huge respect for you since season 1!! Go girl!
Wooo woo....the respect is so great. Your fellow riders are seeing that Itchy Boots is competition. Their compliments have to be a booster! You go girl!!!
All that sand, all that mud, all those rocks you have been riding in the previous 20,000km have given you rather mad skills on the race course. You go girl!!
Another episode of unadulterated adrenaline rush and undiluted dose of inspiration! Thank you Noraly!
managing 3 gopros, the same moment during the ride, lady, you are just a god of patience! So proud to be one among your subscribers!
Itchy Boots, you were incredibly fast considering the tons of people riding with you on little Savannahs pillion seat!
LOL, exactly !
I have been following you since just after you came back from South America. I used to feel really tense during the on bike shots going " Not that line, Eeek you are going to get caught in that rut. Ride the hard pack" etc. Now I just sit and watch and relax. Your line selection and throttle control is about as good as it is possible to get. Loved watching the development. Ride safe.
This is one of the best experience of racing videos I have ever seen. Miss the drone work, but even you can't do everything ( or have I spoken too soon. LOL).
3rd or forth on a completely stock ordinary trail bike is completely awesome, and a testement to you skill and smart riding.
Go Noraly
Watching Noraly getting so many compliments makes me so happy and proud.
Chuffed you stayed upright, and are enjoying the technical sections the most. True offroader.
Brilliant, riding the tracks, drifting through corners and laughing.
Wow Noraly, it felt as if I was on the bike with you taking on the dirt road with such speed. Great camera work and wow your experience shines through. Keep going. Will be watching cant wait for the next video.
Then comes the Moment when the Race Mode began. Great. Really really great. With this little Savanna and Noralys great Courage "flying over " the sandy roads. This dutch Woman has more "Balls" as the most Guys. Really fantastic Noraly .
Looks like a fun ride. You are probably done with the rally by now. But one piece of equipment that saved my life several times when I raced the desert was a steering stabilizer. It’s kind of expensive but a heck of a lot cheaper than broken bones.
I was thinking the same and adjustable forks and shock would help. Either way she is doing great!!!
This channel just keeps getting better and better.
Brings back so many memories of my youth.
Can't wait for the next video!!
Keep up the good work, we're all rooting for you back here in Texas.
Another Texas viewer here. Wishing Noraly continued success.
This lady would fit right in to the Lonestar State- Calm, cool , and eminently qualified...props.
Honda owes you a bike of your choice after provning the capability of this machine with a the RIGHT rider. It obvious you have a racing spirit in you that you never knew you had.Way to go younglady !
Noraly you inspired me!
Today I jumped on my E-bike and rode for at least ten minutes.
But then...... drizzle! While I cycled homewards I realized that here will always be wild lions and tame rabbits!
Gosh you're good Itchy, now I'm not too worried anymore - take care and best of luck!
Wow ! I’m amazed with your “adrenalin’s” speed average and how you handle the trail ! Good job Noraly 💪💪
I know I'm too late for comments...but anyway...HOLY CRAP!! I watched Noraly a couple of years ago being taught how to ride on dirt. Now I'm watching a bike flying along at crazy speeds on roads I would be quietly trickling along...oh yeah, while chatting to us. I think back to seeing Noraly riding single-handed on a dirt road while holding a camera stick and being really impressed. Noraly is a great, geat rider, and an adventurer par excellence. And looky here...she's not stuffing around here. Competitive streak!! Love and thoughts from NZ. Take care and ride safe all. Especially you Noraly. This is brilliant watching.
Go Noraly... Love that you went back to check on Phillip... Good luck for the rest of the event, It looks like a whole lot of fun.
Class move for sure.
Just came home after riding on dirt roads. After watching you'r latest adventure I got to get back on the bike again!
Found you'r vlog a year ago. Didn't have neither license ore bike back then. Now I have both. Thanks to you'r inspiration!
Thank you!
😆Total awesomeness. "I tell you, this chick can RIDE!!" What a proper South African compliment. All that heavy load travelling has paid off, I dont think you are even aware of your abilities off-road, you are at the edge of little Savannah's abilities now, imagine what you could do on Alexander's Rally monster!
Much respect for all you are doing, challenging yourself and developing different skill sets. My wife and I am on a tour of Europe. We stopped to spend the night in your town of Utrecht. Staying at the Van der Valk Hotel. We went to Kerkendijk and experienced poffertjes for the first time, really tasty treat. The man at the windmill shop had a stand and was selling them. They could become addictive, but loved them. Hopefully tomorrow we will find entertaining things to do while in Utrecht. You motivate us to travel together and see the world. Super awesome trip, Friday is on to Amsterdam. Have fun and ride hard, very proud of what you are able to accomplish.Getting closer and closer to the million subscribers. Congratulations, love your energy and positive drive.
That was awesome viewing... watched it with a big smile. Some of the whoops and laughter from your helmet-mic are hilarious!
How incredible is this.
And she probably has more "mileage-experience" than most riders there.
Maybe not racing education / expeirence, but certainly distance / endurance experience.
...and snow covered mountain passes .... all that slippery and muddy roads ......
They all have role to play in building up Noraly of today.
Yeah she has plenty of off-road experience by now. She even took those motocross courses in the Netherlands, remember that? But she's also ridden all over the world in all different types of terrain.
I am waiting for stage 2. Next you will be looking for a crf300l.
Best Travel documentary by far. 10/10
Impressive ! You're not letting it out. Full speed on the trails, it was fun to feel the way you ride, and amazing... I would have slowed down a lot of times ... You are good on sand trails now. Just keeping the balance and the speed. Go on Noraly !
Honda Executives, hope you are watching this. First woman to ride the Kalahari Rally on a Honda. Please support her. Wouldn’t that be the honorable thing to do?
Advertising that you can't buy for any money. 👍
All that experience of riding off the roads is coming to your help, Norally . Woo! The confidence that you have while riding on rough roads, sandy, and rocky, is naturally bringing you more and more admirers. Drive carefully and help us not to fall of our chairs!
Even when riding quickly it is a pleasure to watch you always riding sensibly. Here in the USA we say "there are old riders and there are bold riders but there are no old bold riders". Happy trails and adventures.
It's never about you, it's always about the ride. You always make me smile.
Big bike owner: What!? You're riding on that little thing? You can't ride the Kalahari rally on a puny 250cc bike!
Noraly: Watch me...
Savannah: Yeah, me and my mom eat 800 and 1200cc bikes for breakfast, so there!
Noraly: Now, now Savannah, mind your manners dear. 👍😊
This cracked me up!
Love it and all in good fun!
Brilliantly put 😀
The typical rally bike is now around the 450cc mark, e.g. KTM 450 Rally. But they do cost a lot more than Noraly's CRF250L!
@@DanTube2010 Yes, I'm sure you are correct about the most common displacements on rally bikes, I saw a lot of Husqvarnas there, and I know they too have smaller engines then 800/1200cc (I think their biggest rally bike is a 690cc), but that isn't as funny though... And besides, rally isn't Savannahs day job, adventure riding is, and those bikes are often 800-1200cc:s, so there! (as Savannah would say...) 😁
From one rider to another, I am impressed. Having an underpowered bike and getting 3rd / 4th? Amazing! Go Noraly Go!
She's not getting 3rd/4th, she's riding in a non competitive 'adventure' category, it's a class that just rides along formed roads and tracks in the same direction as the actual rally, she's not riding on the actual rally special stage race tracks.
@@pezzatrol : At 21:02 she mentions Phillip and her coming in 3rd and 4th in their category.
@@rafaucett I know, i heard her, she's misleading viewers, she's participating in the 'adventure moto' category (hence the A preceding her number), look up the kalahari web page, it's a non competitive category run by "rally rampage" where riders use roads and tracks to follow the route of the racers without having to follow the race track, in other words they use the " transport" sections that join up the special test sections. They don't follow the full race track and there is no placing or winners and losers, they're just out there having fun. They have the same thing for many rallys around the world including the finke race in Australia.
slow is smooth and smooth is fast
Honda is a great Japanese machine and I love the way you handle it Take care and be alert all the time
Some in incredible riding! I am seriously impressed. Go Noraly, go Savanna.
Cows on the track: You're passing us. Then, you're coming back. Make up your mind, please. 😃
I love this channel and your escapades. Best viewing I've discovered on the internet in 2021. You're living proof that life is for the living! Deepest respect. Skol!!!
Fully pinned on a Honda CRF250L in the desert for 6+ hours! Noraly you are one badass rider, wow! Go girl, you really are awesome👍 I cannot wait for the next episode
I remember your first video in India. You have come a long way, young lady.
Well, that was fun! Great riding, disappearing petrol trucks, cattle and fence obstacles... going back to check on another rider. Then looking great in the van after the ride!
Noraly is like, "Here, hold my beer!". Savannah may not be fast, but she's steady.
Doing 90kph+, on unknown terrain, while giving us a run down of the conditions! Loving this!
Now.... will the real Noraly please stand up! This lady can't be stopped! Wow you owned that course. Ok... LET'S GO ! on to the next 💪
-Third or fourth over a 390 km stage on a little bike - yup, "Demon Destroyer" for certain. I just know you are going to get a bigger bike for greater speed if you enter another rally. Your cognative and riding skills are through the roof; both precious gifts that help you ride so well. So happy for you Noraly. Fun to watch.
This is the most excitement I've seen this year on the internet. GO, Girl.
Go! Go Go Go. Show them what you can do.
Jeeeez Noraly, the way you attack corners, bushes and branches! I can see how you became third or fourth in your category. Deeply impressed. What a thrilling video to watch! (Watched it two times already)
I haven't heard or read the word "Bivouac" since I was reading Jules Verne and other French adventure writers, way back in my childhood in the 80s, So it was cool to be back with my old book heroes and my present day hero Noraly in one company!
Through most of the video "PLEASE SLOW DOWN, PLEASE SLOW DOWN, PLEEASE SLOW DOWN" THANKFUL you didn't get hurt! Great ride
Great to hear, even during the rally stage, you laugh and enjoy yourself
My heart is bursting with pride to see you blaze through this rally. I cant wait each day for the new upload. Go Itchy Boots!
Same here Anne! I risk bring late for work (Thu morning here in NZ). But I just HAVE to check in to see if our little champion is still in one piece. Now I can go to work, in peace.
This was so thrilling, edge of my seat along your trails. Interesting interactions with the people along the way and they clearly cheer you on. Always good commentary on the experiences and you are the best of editors, keeping it interesting and leaving us longing for the next video to come.
Full on race mode and still turned around to go find Phillip ! Classy and Badass ! You are going to win this thing !!
That was some sportsmanship there, have a good ride 🤝🇲🇾🤝
You are always surprising me. Going through those acacia thorns as if they were not there. Absolutely awesome.
I’m so inspired. I have watched this entire season and Norale is an amazing human. I’m so inspired. I love Itchy Boots 🫶🏾👍🏾👏🏽🙌🏾
For me this is more exciting than watching Dakar.
You are going really well Noraly .
Remember some of them are not as young as you, and have not been riding everyday. Makes a difference in what the body can do. How many times have branches hit you and really hurt? I know how bugs can hurt and there really small, ha! Course seems confusing.
Great ride Noraly!!!
Wow! The speed you´re going is something way different than what we´re used to on this channel!!! I have to admit I wasn´t sure if you had it in you, but man was I wrong.. And I´m so glad I was !!! GO GO NORALY and SAVANNAH!!
Hitting 100+ on these roads !! A big salute to you !! You are a rock star !! 👌👍
It's good to hear Savannah growl like a leopard instead of the touring purr like a kitten. Hope you will compete again. It is exhilarating to watch how your riding technique has come lightyears from India.
Looks like you are having a blast, pushing all the time and great to see the other competitors compliment you. Keep at it and be careful.
