Several years ago my father had heart bypass surgery. He had a near death experience. He saw from above the room everything that was happening. He went to heaven and saw amazing gardens with colors that don't exist here. As a professional landscaper he was totally amazed to see these gardens so pristene. He felt love beyond imagination and did not want to come back to his life here. For months he was depressed and kept saying why God did not allow him to stay. But when he was there he heard the voice of God say it was not his time. He passed 10 yrs. later and I am confident that he is with my mom enjoying his creator in heaven with all his friends & relatives. God is love and heaven is real.
I have a very hard time accepting these stories. There were never stories like this in the Bible. There are lots of them today. Makes me wonder, because they have this “it’s not your time yet”. . . I just don’t believe it.

People pick these passages up and create hallucinations or false memories with them. Look what happened with Roswell. The story combined with the early Sciencefiction movies made thousands of people having lifelike dreams of being abduckted by aliens.

I've come close to dying in an ICU unit. I wasn't afraid of dying necessarily, I was afraid of suffering. Maybe it was the catheter, maybe it was the elephant sitting on my chest, maybe it was being alone but for my nurse Katie. Katie was a beautiful person inside and out. She didn't leave me until they came for me for surgery. She was evidence of God, makes me believe God resides in all of us, if we let him.
Science is finally starting to catch up with the Bible. I want to pursue the GOD of the Bible as passionately as any scientific endeavor. Bless you Eric for putting this out!

I turned and went through the ceiling and into space until a pin light turned into a larger light then I saw all light and beautiful music. No up or down just soft light in all directions. I saw other people who I knew who were dead and others I didn’t. No one seemed to be older than 50. All healthy and happy standing outside this giant gate. I saw through the gate and angels where flying with massive gold bricks building this great city, I saw a man with a bright face come forward and open a book floating in front of him. His face was so intense. So bight and strong. He looks in the book and says “ it’s not your time” I said I don’t want to go it’s so nice. He said again not your time. I came back into my body and woke my grandmother. Told her all I saw. I was never the same. I was 13
A dishwasher in a foodrestaurant in Afrika, went home a late night after work on his bike. He had a long way to his little village, and it was pits black on the road. Out of nowhere came a liomess slowly towards him, followed by yet one and yet one, now three young lions was about to make a meal of him, but he stepped down his bike and fall to his knee's asking God to help him. He promissed God, that if he saved him from the horrible situation, he would be his servant for the rest of his life. God speaks to the lions and they just layd down like puppies, and the man took on to his village. Today this man is a great african preacher who travel the world as a preacher, telling his amazing story. Behind every lion is Jesus, that's why abuse of these holy creatures are a deadly sin.
Great show!!!! Hearing about NDEs thrills my soul because it describes and confirms my NDE to the letter. When I was 5, I walked into a shimmery lake, when hiking & camping. It was so hot out, and I was drawn to the water, I remember feeling compelled to go into that lake. It felt amazing, I was looking at the sparkling sunlight in the water. I remember no longer feeling my feet on the mud bottom, I went under, struggled a little, complete black, then a bursting of this ALIVE brilliant golden-silvery shimmery light ~ and awoke under a strange tree with pale, spear-shaped leaves. There was a soft breeze, I heard it. I saw and SMELLED the green grassy meadow in the background. A man was sitting under the tree on some type of makeshift bench of hay, and white linens laid down on the top. He was looking down at me, and gently laughing, speaking to another man, who I could not see His face, as He was standing, and was tall. Shimmery, golden light surrounded both of them. I was a baby, which I just figured out after all these years. My Father passed when my Mother was only 6mis pregnant with me. I believe JESUS was holding me, and showing me to my Father. They were both saying how precious I was, and then He looked at me and said that I was precious to Him! The senses are incredibly heightened there, I felt 100% HAPPY, BEYOND ALIVE & better than healthy, LOVED, in perfect PEACE, and JOY. He said I had to go home for now ; and I felt all the light fade away to a blue-grey, and I felt MAD, mad, mad and very SAD that I was being pulled away from this perfect place of being, back into my body. Coughing up water under the tree, pebbles crunching beneath me, I sat up and just looked around at everything, heating my Mom lecturing me someplace here next to me, but I was in my own world processing what I’d just experienced. That tree in heaven…. that was an OLIVE tree, I found out years later, watching a show re: biblical archaeology and Israel. It showed a modern day Shepard, sitting on a hay mound, under a shady olive tree! WHY did I have that experience? In part, to keep my faith strong enduring severe chronic pain & illness later in life. GOD truly is my ROCK! 🍃🕊️🌌♥️
No but it does get me excited. To receive my glorified Body and to see Jesus face to face. No more devil no more death just beautiful heaven for seven years then back we come.
There are tons of near death experience shows, movies, books, etc. right this minute. I guess the world is filled with nonbelievers so they need the stuff. I’m grateful and thankful that from my birth I have been believing in God because my parents brought me up that way and I really believe that everybody should be brought up that way so I guess we need these books but we also need to spread the Gospel for sure. Imagine Heaven is one of my favorite books. I’ve been excited to get this new one-can’t wait! One thing that these books and interviews never address is others’ objections with me-that we are not to “take away or add to” the Word of God. But I don’t exactly think that’s what these type of NDE reports are doing, right? And are more people having NDEs than ever in history?? Don’t know, but I think that in this day and age of so much “science” and technology, it’s made it harder for some types of people to believe in God. So maybe He allows these NDEs as more proof of His existence and the afterlife to meet these people with the evidence out there…

I’ve been witness to miracles and I couldn’t stop telling people about it. But what surprised me was the number of Church people I told them to who seemed to be completely unmoved by my witness. By taking the names of people,places, events and actions and the various verses associated with them and the root word of each word. The letter # added together. I heard him say, look at my little words. I started with words like, say, said, saidst,seen, remember,if,at,all… you get it. These reports are interesting and these folks may be nearly dead, but they are not dead. Also I we have the testimony of Paul. He got to see heaven and said it wasn’t lawful for him to speak on it. But sensationalism can be a trap as it relates to transient feelings, that come and go and may be considered subjective. I just want to align myself with the scripture. In other words I need no further sign or proof or revelation. Nothing added or taken away from the text. So if one of these miracles turned out to be a sham or worse, it concerns me none. I believe in miracles all around us daily and agree with you in that regard.

I am a Christian and believe in the afterlife. But I do have a question regarding the European Academy of Neurology 2019 study where 5.5% of people declared clinically dead come back reporting an NDE (4:37 time stamp). If the afterlife is real, and I believe that it is, why wouldn't 100% of those who were clinically dead report an NDE?

Not all people who have an NDE or said they did have an experience that is consistent with the Bible. Some come back claiming that reincarnation is true which is a total lie. So be careful because your eternal destiny depends on what you believe.
Time to advance, fellow humans, beyond these stories of old that were authored for the ancient times. We see what we believe we will see when we die, but the reality is that we will continue with many more lives and choices. That is a gift well beyond old ideas of heaven and hell.

When I first listened to NDEs they were about being outside their bodies. Sometimes they went through a tunnel and saw beautiful flowers and water and mountains. Sometimes they saw dead loved ones. Lately the people claiming to experience NDEs say they discovered in heaven that we live many lives and other crazy things. Suddenly these people are all knowing about life and are experts on God. The Bible does not talk about many lives so I no longer listen to these NDEs.
Please listen to all of this before making quick comments here. Eric Metaxis has a firm faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and he would not have something on that contradicts the Holy Bible. And mind you, the Vedas are centuries older than the book of John. That is explicitly Christian.

This man did interview him and there might be more info in the book to see if you could actually look him up. But the gentleman who interviewed him was also a skeptic of these things as well. So he was not a Christian at first. Another thing is I don't think we can classify NDE's as dreams. Since dreams happen within us and NDE'S are all reported as outside of the body while clinically dead. Although scripture does say God can communicate to us through dreams and I think that makes sense. I m very sure you have had a very vivid dream when you woke up and thought to yourself "wow, that felt real". I am sure as well, that you have seen a movie, or heard a story, and had a dream about it. If there is an all powerful god who wants to communicate with us, it begs the question, why does he have to do it in dreams? Why not when we are awake, when we can perceive him with all our senses? It'd be so easy for someone who's all powerful, who loves us, to come and show us the way in front of our own eyes.
@@raymoss706 Ray, He did show himself 2,000 years ago. He was among as as one of us. He love you so much. Yes we all were not there 2,000 years ago, but there were eyewitnesses to who He was. He died with out stretched arms for you Ray. He gave you a book to read so you can see His love and know Him. I will say I have vivid dreams but none where I wake up and say wow that's more real than life it's self. I wake up take a minute to recover and know it was just a dream. These people when they come back are saying it is more real than this life. The love and joy is more than anything they have experienced here. Dreams don't do that. Also God does communicate to us in various ways. NDE'S and dreams are just some ways he does this. Like I said before He came in the flesh and did show Himself to us. He gave us his word, he has worked miracles through those who call on his name. Yet God is above us. Its what we call as Christians His transcendence which means he is above all things and outside of all things and so there are times in our lives when he is less knowable than other times because is he above all. Yet we also confess He is imminent which means He is near and at times reveals Himself so clearly that we know it is Him. The reason he doesn't reveal Himself right now to all people is because that would not produce Faith or trust in Him. All it would do is show that we Know he is real but people would still hate him and not serve him even if they knew without a shadow of doubt he existed. People crucified him 2,000 years ago when he was healing people and performing miracles. They tried to hide that He rose from the dead and tried to kill His followers so they could not tell others that He desires to have a relationship with them. So God showing himself openly all the time would not be the best way to ensure people actually love and trust him. Rather at times and through various means he shows himself to us in ways we can recognize and trust him. Namely through His Son Jesus Christ. I love you Ray and I do know the struggle of not being able to see Him. I have went through periods of doubt in my own life. I had gone through times of wishing He would just show Himself visibly. But I also know that wouldn't help whether I would trust him or not. It would just mean I know God as a fact like 2+2 is four but it wouldn't make me trust Him as my Heavenly Father. But He has promised when He returns that we will see Him. Just as people before us have as well. I look forward to that day.
Does it scare people to know ALL the cave drawings & books were written by men and are NOT "special" or holy? Just stories of normal every day people. God has existed longer than religion so we should not separate people from GOD by our man made religions. I am a Christian and have been ALL my life. I've seen and talked to someone after they passed away so I KNOW spirits exist without doubt. I also know GOD existed LONG before ALL religions. GOD does not exist in books. Books are written by men and women who experience GOD's existence. Also we should not push for people to believe in GOD simply because of what we get after we die "IF" we believe in him. You don't love and mary a person for what you'll get after they die and neither should you do so God nor should we judge others negatively for their religious beliefs. The exceptions are religious beliefs that kill others simply because they believe something different or the killers believe it will get them to heaven somehow as martyrs. These are not religious beliefs. These are the beliefs of insane cowards but no one should forget the number of people who have been killed in the name of God.

A dishwasher in a foodrestaurant in Afrika, went home a late night after work on his bike. He had a long way to his little village, and it was pits black on the road. Out of nowhere came a liomess slowly towards him, followed by yet one and yet one, now three young lions was about to make a meal of him, but he stepped down his bike and fall to his knee's asking God to help him.
He promissed God, that if he saved him from the horrible situation, he would be his servant for the rest of his life. God speaks to the lions and they just layd down like puppies, and the man took on to his village.
Today this man is a great african preacher who travel the world as a preacher, telling his amazing story. Behind every lion is Jesus, that's why abuse of these holy creatures are a deadly sin.

When I was 5, I walked into a shimmery lake, when hiking & camping.
It was so hot out, and I was drawn to the water, I remember feeling compelled to go into that lake.
It felt amazing, I was looking at the sparkling sunlight in the water.
I remember no longer feeling my feet on the mud bottom, I went under, struggled a little, complete black, then a bursting of this ALIVE brilliant golden-silvery shimmery light ~ and awoke under a strange tree with pale, spear-shaped leaves. There was a soft breeze, I heard it. I saw and SMELLED the green grassy meadow in the background.
A man was sitting under the tree on some type of makeshift bench of hay, and white linens laid down on the top.
He was looking down at me, and gently laughing, speaking to another man, who I could not see His face, as He was standing, and was tall.
Shimmery, golden light surrounded both of them. I was a baby, which I just figured out after all these years.
My Father passed when my Mother was only 6mis pregnant with me.
I believe JESUS was holding me, and showing me to my Father.
They were both saying how precious I was, and then He looked at me and said that I was precious to Him!
The senses are incredibly heightened there, I felt 100% HAPPY, BEYOND ALIVE & better than healthy, LOVED, in perfect PEACE, and JOY.
He said I had to go home for now ; and I felt all the light fade away to a blue-grey, and I felt MAD, mad, mad and very SAD that I was being pulled away from this perfect place of being, back into my body.
Coughing up water under the tree, pebbles crunching beneath me, I sat up and just looked around at everything, heating my Mom lecturing me someplace here next to me, but I was in my own world processing what I’d just experienced.
That tree in heaven…. that was an OLIVE tree, I found out years later, watching a show re: biblical archaeology and Israel.
It showed a modern day Shepard, sitting on a hay mound, under a shady olive tree!
WHY did I have that experience? In part, to keep my faith strong enduring severe chronic pain & illness later in life.

There are tons of near death experience shows, movies, books, etc. right this minute. I guess the world is filled with nonbelievers so they need the stuff. I’m grateful and thankful that from my birth I have been believing in God because my parents brought me up that way and I really believe that everybody should be brought up that way so I guess we need these books but we also need to spread the Gospel for sure.

One thing that these books and interviews never address is others’ objections with me-that we are not to “take away or add to” the Word of God. But I don’t exactly think that’s what these type of NDE reports are doing, right? And are more people having NDEs than ever in history?? Don’t know, but I think that in this day and age of so much “science” and technology, it’s made it harder for some types of people to believe in God. So maybe He allows these NDEs as more proof of His existence and the afterlife to meet these people with the evidence out there…
Why does he need to "proof his existence" at a near death experience? That sounds absurd and quite ridiculous really. Surely, the God that did all things impossible has a better way of revealing itself.

Jesus mercy always gives a chance for salvation, for everyone who comes back from almost death experiences, or long painfull deseases mostly for people who lives in places where the gospel is forbiden.
What about the people that didn't come back, either from their "painful diseases." Imagine saying that, to the parents of a dying child with cancer right now. Well mostly places that the Bible is not forbidden.

By taking the names of people,places, events and actions and the various verses associated with them and the root word of each word. The letter # added together. I heard him say, look at my little words. I started with words like, say, said, saidst,seen, remember,if,at,all… you get it. All the first time used different words of Hebrew and the root word of that word. Amazing how he did this;

Elizabeth Kübler Ross is/ was the authority on NDE. Nevertheless, we’re still largely in the dark about the after life. “A new Heaven and a New Earth” is what we hope for: Heaven on Earth.
The letter to the Hebrews tells us that is appointed unto to man “once” to die.
I have always taken the verse for what it says.
It is a technical point to be sure. These reports are interesting and these folks may be nearly dead, but they are not dead. Also I we have the testimony of Paul. He got to see heaven and said it wasn’t lawful for him to speak on it. I would like to fully understand what he meant. God bless

But sensationalism can be a trap as it relates to transient feelings, that come and go and may be considered subjective.

I am a Christian and believe in the afterlife. But I do have a question regarding the European Academy of Neurology 2019 study where 5.5% of people declared clinically dead come back reporting an NDE (4:37 time stamp). If the afterlife is real, and I believe that it is, why wouldn't 100% of those who were clinically dead report an NDE?

Not all people who have an NDE or said they did have an experience that is consistent with the Bible. Some come back claiming that reincarnation is true which is a total lie. So be careful because your eternal destiny depends on what you believe.
Time to advance, fellow humans, beyond these stories of old that were authored for the ancient times. We see what we believe we will see when we die, but the reality is that we will continue with many more lives and choices. That is a gift well beyond old ideas of heaven and hell.

When I first listened to NDEs they were about being outside their bodies. Sometimes they went through a tunnel and saw beautiful flowers and water and mountains. Sometimes they saw dead loved ones. Lately the people claiming to experience NDEs say they discovered in heaven that we live many lives and other crazy things. Suddenly these people are all knowing about life and are experts on God. The Bible does not talk about many lives so I no longer listen to these NDEs.
Please listen to all of this before making quick comments here. Eric Metaxis has a firm faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and he would not have something on that contradicts the Holy Bible. I came for the evidence. I was scammed out of my click. I think he meant Hindu instead of Indian, and in Hinduism, there Vedas describe gates of Svarga, or gates to heaven. And mind you, the Vedas are centuries older than the book of John. So, yet, another aspect of a religion being appropriated by Christianity, and another Christian misrepresenting an event, or downright lying.
I don't mean to be rude here. Just observing. He did say the Indian man had a vision of the gates being 12. Exactly like Revelation. Then he has visions of the Father and Son. So that even when he comes back to he knows it's none of the deities he had been worshipping. Then then he hears Jesus talk about the narrow gate and he is searching for this God and its only when he goes to church he feels the same presence and the sermon is on the narrow gate. That is explicitly Christian.

This man did interview him and there might be more info in the book to see if you could actually look him up. But the gentleman who interviewed him was also a skeptic of these things as well. So he was not a Christian at first. Another thing is I don't think we can classify NDE's as dreams. Since dreams happen within us and NDE'S are all reported as outside of the body while clinically dead. Although scripture does say God can communicate to us through dreams and I think that makes sense. If there is an all powerful god who wants to communicate with us, it begs the question, why does he have to do it in dreams? Why not when we are awake, when we can perceive him with all our senses? It'd be so easy for someone who's all powerful, who loves us, to come and show us the way in front of our own eyes.

He died with out stretched arms for you Ray. He gave you a book to read so you can see His love and know Him. I will say I have vivid dreams but none where I wake up and say wow that's more real than life it's self. I wake up take a minute to recover and know it was just a dream. These people when they come back are saying it is more real than this life. The love and joy is more than anything they have experienced here. Dreams don't do that. Also God does communicate to us in various ways. NDE'S and dreams are just some ways he does this. Like I said before He came in the flesh and did show Himself to us. He gave us his word, he has worked miracles through those who call on his name. Yet God is above us. Its what we call as Christians His transcendence which means he is above all things and outside of all things and so there are times in our lives when he is less knowable than other times because is he above all. Yet we also confess He is imminent which means He is near and at times reveals Himself so clearly that we know it is Him. The reason he doesn't reveal Himself right now to all people is because that would not produce Faith or trust in Him. All it would do is show that we Know he is real but people would still hate him and not serve him even if they knew without a shadow of doubt he existed. People crucified him 2,000 years ago when he was healing people and performing miracles. They tried to hide that He rose from the dead and tried to kill His followers so they could not tell others that He desires to have a relationship with them. So God showing himself openly all the time would not be the best way to ensure people actually love and trust him. Rather at times and through various means he shows himself to us in ways we can recognize and trust him. Namely through His Son Jesus Christ. I love you Ray and I do know the struggle of not being able to see Him. I have went through periods of doubt in my own life. I had gone through times of wishing He would just show Himself visibly. But I also know that wouldn't help whether I would trust him or not. It would just mean I know God as a fact like 2+2 is four but it wouldn't make me trust Him as my Heavenly Father. But He has promised when He returns that we will see Him. Just as people before us have as well. I look forward to that day.

Books are written by men and women who experience GOD's existence.
Also we should not push for people to believe in GOD simply because of what we get after we die "IF" we believe in him.
You don't love and mary a person for what you'll get after they die and neither should you do so God nor should we judge others negatively for their religious beliefs.
The exceptions are religious beliefs that kill others simply because they believe something different or the killers believe it will get them to heaven somehow as martyrs.
These are not religious beliefs.
These are the beliefs of insane cowards but no one should forget the number of people who have been killed in the name of God.
