Hear that sound? KY and Valhalla going to bottom of list for any tier 1 PGA tour event. Also the sound of professional golfers losing interest in coming to the Bluegrass state. As an Australian, thousands and thousands of miles away from all the action its so bizarre. In a highly chaotic environment, with a crime scene set up in early morning fog and rain and dim light the chances of miscommunication seem quite high. What happened after seems extraordinarily intense. An arrest, charges laid, his clothes and property confiscated, processing, finger prints, mug shot, detainment in jail. Nil questioning. All in the space of a few hours. Kinda wild if you ask me. I don't know how the law works in America but the whole thing seems wildly over the top.
If I was Scheffler I'd be rattled beyond belief. Scared senseless if I'm honest. Jails aren't nice places at all. The intimidation alone would have been overwhelming. Extraordinarly what he achieved on the golf course just a few hours later. I feel for him :-(

He may have slipped on the rainy road in attempt to “attach himself” to a moving vehicle. Sure, if a PO tells a person to stop they should, especially if the PO has “attached himself” to the car; but we need to see that video in order to corroborate the PO version. What's amazing is all the crap they get away with when the victim is not a celebrity....

To Blamtasticful. It is *amazing all the crap that the teef and robbers get away* with because of the new PC snowflake, kid's gloves climate.
If a stolen car gets pulled over -- the community is consternated.
When the teef takes off -- we should hold our fire,
pray for the innocent public, and
cuddle the criminals with non-controversial words.

@eddyvideostar If you are a good cop there is no place for excusing this behavior so please be a good cop.
If you think this is about owning the libs or owning PC culture then you are a fool. It's about holding people with power in government accountable.

What's most shocking is he didn't flee, didn't resist, didn't turn violent, and was released a couple hours later to have his day in court.

You can't. If they have ANY probable cause whatsoever, the department is safe from a lawsuit and the police officers can't be sued as they have immunity. Now if you're arrested for something that you didn't do AND there was no actual cause for your arrest... you can easily sue. Like say cussing out a cop and he just loses it and arrests you... that's a lawsuit as we're protected under the First Amendment.
