Anthony Munoz the greatest left tackle of all Time. That's what John Madden called him and I agree. And first Bengal in the NFL Hall of Fame. Bout Time. 👍👍👍
1. Anthony Munoz 2. Ken Anderson 3. Boomer Esiason 4. Ken Riley 5. Isaac Curtis Honourable Mention: Lemar Parrish, Eddie Edwards, Carl Pickens, Corey Dillon, James Brooks, Chad Johnson, Bob Johnson, AJ Green
In '73, hix 2nd year as a starter, Kenny led the Bengals to a Division title, and in each of his next 2 years he was the #1-Rated QB in the NFL, with the most yards gained, the highest completion percentage, the best TD to interecept ratio and all the other factors tossed in. His '85 game of 447 yds. against O.J. and the Bills, like his 20-consecutive passes and game-saving tackle vs. Pittsburgh the previous year, cemented his claim to best QB (and he was usually among the Bengals' top runners.). Even with Walsh leaving in a tiff (he'd expected the head-coaching job), Ken kept the Bengals in contention through the last games of 76 and 77, breaking the Steeler jinx by throwing 2 late scores against them in '77, both of which the Bengals needed for sole possession of 1st place. But they lost the next, very last, game (damn Oilers), and then came the 2 disastrous years---broken thumb, disabling injufries to both Isaac and Billy Brooks, and no breakaway running threat. But that low period made his return to #1-rated QB in '81 and '82 all the more spectacular. Just as he'd made Isaac Pro-Bowl 4 seasons in a row, he did the same in the next decade for Cris Collinsworth. Paul Brown had to feel at least a twinge of embarassment watching Anderson playing the Chargers with their 2 HOF receivers--viz., Joiner and Winslow--who the Bengals either traded away or didn't give a 2nd look at in the draft. But Kenny was tuff---starting more games than any other QB in the mean Joe Greene Division--until '84, or Wyche's first year as coach, which brought us no-huddle platooning.
Riley's career was better than Ocho Stinko's but he should be on the list, he'll be replaced by A.J. Green in 5 years anyway. Honorable mentions: Corey Dillon (more of a Bengal than a Patriot), James Brooks, Big Pete Johnson, Issac Curtis, Chris Collingsworth ( yeah, the same annoying guy on Sunday night football), T.J Husmenzada ( I probably spelled it wrong), Tim Krumrie, who broke his leg in the Super Bowl early, Louis Breeden, Eddie Fulcher, and my personal favorite, although his career was cut short by injuries, Ickey Woods, he of the famed "Ickey shuffle", most recently in the Geico commercial. ( "Got some cold cuts, got some cold cuts") I also have to mention the legendary Paul Brown, the godfather of both the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals. His vast coaching tree includes Don Shula, my guy Chuck Noll, Bill Walsh, and a young equipment boy named Bill Belicheck, who from those humble beginnings became defensive coordinator for Bill Parcells then head coach for the Cleveland Browns and of course presently for the New England Patriots.
Thank you for putting Ken Riley on the list. Finally getting his due with induction into the Pro Football HOF, albeit posthumously. Rest in peace, Ken Riley (1947-2020).
Because he was never viewed by any of his peers as elite in real time and got most of those picks because guys didnt want to throw to Lemar Parrish his superior teammate.
From bengals fan, you gotta pick 1 qb, Anderson there. So I been a bengals fan sense 73 when I was 6, had whole uniform helmet and all. My top 5 would be..... #5 Corey dillion, dude tore up the record books, #4 Chad Johnson tuff 1 here taking him over Isaac Curtis. #3 Ken Riley, #2 Ken Anderson most accurate passer in nfl history, onced completes 22 passes in a roe vs huston oilers, legend has it oilers still trying get in right coverage.. #1 the great 78 big Anthony munoz!!! How bout willie anderson?????? He could easily be on this list.
Great list! Kenny and the Rattler need to be enshrined!! Aj Green would be a hall of famer if he had a top tier qb that could hit a deep ball... sorry Andy 😆
Chad Johnson just quit trying. All of those fights he was having on the sidelines with Carson Palmer were about him doing things like dropping crucial passes when really needed & turning the wrong way on pass patterns. He gave himself away once though, on a dropped pass he went up & covered his mouth like--Oops! He asked for a trade & decided to get even for turning him down by screwing things up on purpose--Making rookie mistakes that he should have been over years before. To me it was so obvious because he was awesome when he was still getting his way. I heard he tried to rig a raffle for a new car & got caught--Wanted to escape his embarrassment with a trade & when Mike Brown refused, he was like--"okay, watch this!"--
Make way for A.J. Green. He will be number one if he continues to play, even if his numbers go down. Also, i could make an argument for Cory Dillion to be on the list. Nice video @nfl
The only reason aj green didn't make it is because he's only played 5 years in the league so far, his legacy isn't as big as the others' yet... But soon enough, he could be #1
Alright, since this is an opinion piece, as a Bengals fan of more than 45 years, here's mine... "All-time great" involves more than just stats, especially the comparatively inflated ones players nowadays put up, as opposed to those from the 70s or 80s. Chad Johnson was a likable buffoon. He is NOT one of the Top 5 Bengals of all-time. Munoz, Anderson, Riley and Esiason are no-brainers. #5 is debatable, but it is NOT a mentally unstable, self-promoting drama queen. My personal choice is Willie Anderson, but a case could be made for Reggie Williams, Isaac Curtis, Cory Dillon, A.J. Green, Jim LeClair, Pete Johnson, Jim Breech, James Brooks, Geno Atkins or Tim Krumrie. Arguments could be made for each, but none are bulletproof. A.J. may well wind up in the Top 5 when all is said and done. But #1 will never change. Anthony Munoz (with apologies to John Hannah) was the best offensive lineman to ever play the game.
Anthony Munoz the greatest left tackle of all Time. That's what John Madden called him and I agree. And first Bengal in the NFL Hall of Fame. Bout Time. 👍👍👍
Yeah I was stocked to get a auto of him!
If Munoz wasn't #1 I would have been pissed.

In my humble opinion as a Bengals fan.

Jinx Rekz And i am not a BANDWAGNER or however you spell it
Big Boi WHAT DO YOU MEAN
+Jason Caputo No one claimed you were a band wagoner before you said that, but because you did it makes you said like you are a band wagoner.
1. Anthony Munoz
2. Ken Anderson
3. Boomer Esiason

5. Isaac Curtis
Honourable Mention: Lemar Parrish, Eddie Edwards, Carl Pickens, Corey Dillon, James Brooks, Chad Johnson, Bob Johnson, AJ Green
Mrkille UHH true shouda Been one of the top
Corey dillion gotta be in there sorry but dude tore up record books. You might not like him as person but stats are stats.
A.J. Green is gonna be on this list in a couple of years

T.J Houshmanzadeh* I think thats how you spell it
@@BaldHeadSosa the correct spelling is "whoseyourmama"

Thank you for putting Ken Riley on the list. Finally getting his due with induction into the Pro Football HOF, albeit posthumously. Rest in peace, Ken Riley (1947-2020).
Muñoz
Before I watch is Antony Munoz #2 or 1?
Why isn't Ken Riley in the Hall of Fame with the fith most picks in NFL History
Because he was never viewed by any of his peers as elite in real time and got most of those picks because guys didnt want to throw to Lemar Parrish his superior teammate.
Why is Ken Riley not in the hall of fame?
Tim Krumie needs to replace Chad Johnson...
Ken Anderson/Ken Riley need to be in the HoF...

Ken Riley should be in the Hall of Fame!
No he really shouldnt
@@Bu11yMagu1re
Why not. His 65 INTERCEPTIONS ranks him 5th all time ?
@@ripDenmarkVesey because interceptions are not the end all be all for cornerbacks.
@@Bu11yMagu1re
There’s no such thing as the “end all be all” at any position.
If there is, what is it for corner backs ?
@@ripDenmarkVesey He also wasnt even the best corner on his team. Outside of 65 snaps what is his hall of fame case?
Chad number 1
RIP Ken Riley
As a Bengals fan I love this

Muñoz is spelled wrong
Cory Dillion should have been on the list. Only good player they had in the late 90s early 2000s.
Nah, I'd replace Johnson with either Green or maybe Reggie Williams. Otherwise the list seems about right
What about terrel owens he was on the bengals for the year
I never knew cornerbacks could wear numbers in the teens, but then night train lane wore #81, was he a wide receiver?
Nope. Just a different time of Football. Numbers weren't something to designate position back then.
Night train off and defense, most players did in those days. Played te, wide reciver, blocking back, and even ran ball, diffrent rea then.
We need a top 5 list for the Patriots, where it at doe
But great number 1 choice
