Spelunky 2 - Daily Challenge 2024-06-13 - Cosmic Ocean 7-99 (Volcana-Tide Pool/Abzu route)

WARNING!
Big recording problems with this run. Only way I know how to fix that would have required me to exit of the game, which wasn't an option because this was a daily challenge.
From 7-72 forward I recorded on my phone pointing at the tv-screen.
I've never tried it before. And I didn't know I was going to get to 7-99.
So I didn't put much effort trying to do it well.
-no game audio
-bad angle(missing a part of the screen)
Also there's bad audio issues around 7-17 to 7-33.
Even though this is already my 9th Cosmic Ocean victory.
Achieving it still feels really special to me.
That's why I still chose to upload this.
My 9th Cosmic Ocean 7-99.
And 4th on a Daily Challenge.
I switched the character to the next one every day I played.
So I didn't really choose which characters won. I tried my best with all of them.

2:35 tradition of mine.
Throw the chest to the wall the amount of times as the number of Cosmic Ocean victory I'm currently going for.
If I ever get a 10th victory I'll go back to 1 throw and then up from there. Because it's getting annoying to do and the lost time could even ruin the run early.
7:45 I really didn't need the torch anymore.
This was only my 6th run this game this year so there's a lot of little things here and there I keep forgetting.

34:57 I guess for a moment I forgot I had Vlad's cape. Jumped on that guy to get height.

Followed by a fun way to get poisoned.
I was waiting for an opportunity to go farm health.
I did not see that coming. It's happened to me very similiar way before.
1:29:16 that's a rare moment for me.
I didn't know spider's web could cause that.
1:57:30 and 2:00:06 these went as intended...
2:00:26 it almost seems like it was my bomb, but I don't think it could have gone up like that.
Just UFO with an interesting timing.
2:02:02 I'm pretty sure you can catch a skull with pitcher's mitt. So it wasn't a close call.
I think jars are the ones/or one of those that you can't catch.
2:26:29 this could have been bad.
And right after seeing a perfect health farming opportunity.
2:30:12 I was aware of the crocman the whole time.
But it felt more dangerous trying to go out there to deal with it.
2:30:34 got lucky there.
This was very risky, but worth it.

2:44:45 from this point onward the run was filmed on my phone pointing at the tv-screen. reason for it at 0:00.
2:45:37 I keep checking the recording between levels even though I was sure it wasn't working.
at 3:28:32 I saw what I expected... not recording.
This is a recent problem, but it's been common ever since it first happened.
Just few days earlier a recording failed somewhere around 7-33. I kept playing, and made it to 7-39.
2:46:02 cause and effect.
2:49:57 I expected the enemy to walk one more tile to the right.
Careless, I know. You can clearly see the block there. Almost lost the Ankh.
3:02:03 I avoid climbing gloves. I had to see what the crate had before picking it up.
3:19:05 the screen went black randomly... luckily it didn't happen at a worse situation.
3:23:20 this was the first time I achieved 7-99 and it felt a bit dissapointing.
Knowing the recording failed wasn't nice.
I did start to feel a lot better about this later. The achievement still feels amazing.
But it's still really annoying and it disencourages me to do more dailies as long as the problem exists.
And I really want to keep playing every now and then.
3:27:43 the song that plays here is the one I chose by using the radio few times at 3:27:50.
Felt like it would be too much effort to add all the songs it cycles before this one.
Too much effort for something that's never going to be great anyway.
