Wow! Perfect timing! Our kitchen has overhead fluorescent lights with similar acrylic diffusers and I need to replace them. Thanks for the tutorial. That was some yeoman's work you did for that real estate lady. Nicely done, sir! 👍😎

Nice job. I just use my palms to snap them after scoring, may be the reason for paper like cuts on side of hand..lol... .but on another note if someone scored and drug metal edging on two of my desk like that there would be 318 deaths in Philadelphia .

Those desks are trash and being thrown away and that’s the only reason i used them as work surfaces lol
Thanks for your comment and glad you figured out a way to snap then but it sounds like death by a million cuts lol

I too would like to know how you were able to remove the entire frame.

I have to get new panels and they're an awkward size, 23.75x35 1/8. Not sure if I'd be able to use the seamer tool. How would you suggest getting a clean cut without that?

Why would the seamer tool not be usable? You can prob cut them with a glass cutter but I haven’t tried that method. Call a local hardware store see if they have a wall mounted glass cutter, that would be perfect.

fyi: Harbor Freight calls it a sheet metal folding tool. $12 .

The one that Harbor Freight sells will likely work just fine, but what I noticed with the two I have in the service van, is that one of them clamps on tighter than the other, neither from Harbor Freight. So ensure the grip is adequate.

I used a razor blade and an aluminum brake. The aluminum brakes are found in Home Depot by the gutters
