In this video, I am sharing 6 reasons to consider before you decide to move to Denmark!!!
All 6 reasons come under the main theme - which is if you are ready for a BIG change in your life then moving to Denmark can be difficult.
I absolutely love my life here in Denmark but at times things are difficult and in these 5 years I have made changes in my lifestyle. I hope this video will help you :)
Do not come to Denmark if
1) You are NOT ready to meet new people and make new friends. You will feel lonely in Denmark, not all the time but it gets tough. As a newcomer, you need to make the effort to meet new people and keep making friends. :)
2) You are NOT ready to be independent. This is a BIG change. Here, you will need to do most of the tasks on your own. Danes are very independent. Also, making your own group, knowing what you want to do in life will help you get to settle down.
3) You are NOT ready for Danish weather. The winters are harsh and difficult. The sun will play hide & seek all the time. 4 months from November till Feb needs a vacation outside Denmark!
4) You are NOT ready to master the Danish language. This is definitely one of my struggles - Mastering the language after passing the PD3 exam. I always get told by others as well that they don't enjoy speaking in Danish all the time.
5) You are OK that you can't bring your parents on a dependent VISA. Only spouses and kids get a dependent VISA, getting a dependent VISA for parents can be next to impossible. I haven't heard a YES in this case yet.
6) You want to save a LOT of money because Denmark is Expensive. You need to plan your expenses in Denmark. Your salary will match the standard of living in Denmark but even after that things are expensive.
