Honda CRV - Fitting a Witter Tow Bar

- Back to the spanners in this video. I fitted a Witter towbar to the CRV. Simple enough job. Some quick hints...undo both of the rear exhaust brackets, you need to properly lower the end can. You don't need an 11mm drill bit, a 10 mm one will do just fine. Put the towbar mount in before you tighten up the spacers.
If you had everything to hand you could probably do this in an hour.

Finally the correct way to install the hitch! All the other vids with the two screws "fished" through the two holes are completely stupid! No way 4 half arsed screws can hold 1500kgs safely
I just followed the instructions! And of course since I put it on I've towed sod all!
@@GavCritchley If you look up how to install the hitch on these crv generations there are so many videos suggesting the "fishing" method (using only two bolts on each side), I dont understand how that is enough support. Everytime I look up a towbar to purchase theres not one that has this method. All of them have 8 bolts and you can see the pimples on the frame, honda put them there for an easier install as holes have to be drilled and not for good looks...
@@Max-ry4gl I need to watch my own video again to see how I did it! Just watched it...yes you are right, 4 on each side. Its pretty solid. Its the most valuable thing in the car!

The clear pipes are drainage for the sunroof. Apparently there are 2 at the front too.
Gavin any chance you can send me a photo of your wiring and il do a separate vid? As if right now I can't get it wired up correctly
How did you connect the wires?
I took it to a local auto electrician!
