I maybe an ARMY but Taeyang's Eyes, Nose and Lips is one of my absolute favorite K Pop songs, especially given the backstory.
He’s an extremely talented man, I just knew this song was going to be amazing! I’m literally in love with this songs, just like the name this song is such a vibe!
Taeyang is still a member of BigBang, but he also has done solo songs too. BigBang released their first song together since they completed their military service last year called Still Life. Taeyang is also married and has a son. BigBang are legends in kpop and BTS are often seen dancing and singing along to their songs. 10 years ago Jimin was asked who his biggest musical inspiration was and he answered Taeyang so this collab was a dream come true for him. And Suga interviewed Taeyang recently and was literally fanboying the whole time. Yes Taeyang's tattoo is real and Jimin has multiple tattoos too. I'm doing okay with BTS "break" because there still has been plenty of content and music. BTS just became the first kpop group where all members have charted on the billboard hot 100 as soloists and as a group. Also there is a strong rumor going around that Jimin's debut solo album will be coming out in February.
Everyone in BigBang is also a successful solo artist and very known in the South and East Asia/K-pop world. In contrast to many groups today they stressed their solo activities and also their individual characters much more. They have/had a major influence on the korean music scene. May you try and listen to some of their music (Bang, Bang, Bang/Cafe/Fxxk it, Bad Boy, and Loser to name a few). They are the Kings of concerts and their MVs regarded as high quality even after all the years. When you plan to dive deeper in Kpop they are a must.
While I'm not a VIP (Big Bang fan) I do know that they were *the* group of the second gen. and the begining of third in SK.
They do Hiphop and write some of their music. They also have very successfull solo work.
Taeyang just happens to be the main (?) singer of the group and their main dancer.
Jimin is also a main dancer and (lead) vocalist. So they have a lot in common. That and Bigbang music was everywhere so Jimin heard it as a teen and danced (and later sang) to it. This makes Jimin a successfull fan. (we also have some interviews to this song and behind the scenes stuff if you are interested)
You may like Big Bang's music. (especially G-Dragon I think)

This is not bts. This is in it's own category under YG and Bigbang. This is Taeyang produced by Teddy.. They have been affiliated with YG for decades, then recently. The Back label.. Taeyang is a huge part of Bigbang since 2006. MJ is his favorite artist.. He has an impressive solo career too. If you like rap line check out TOP from BB. 2014 solo Doom DaDa that is rap fire..This is my first X hearing Jimin, he did his thing this joint was tight. Taeyang is always great..

The drum part at 0:56 is very reminiscent of the song Poison by Bell Biv Devoe, that may be what you heard that sounded familiar. I love the homage to Michael Jackson. This song is 🔥🔥🔥. And definitely check out the live version they released!

They changed kpop to the core .
