I appreciate you showing the actual modeling process. Most of the tutorials I've seen either aren't up to date, or skip modeling entirely. I was struggling with how to get the arms to look good, and it was really convenient that all I had to do was go forward in a video and see how you did yours, and replicate the technique. It's like a guidebook all in one video, and it was super helpful for me! Thank you for your service. o7
Glad it was helpful! I had the same problems like you and it took me around 2 years to make my first character. So one full video start to finish thing was super important for me, because I don't want anyone to have my problems.
Dude you have no idea how much of a lifesaver finding this was, I've been pulling my hair out on google trying to find literally ANY material for how to do texture-based lip-syncing all day today... I got to the point of randomly opening videos about this style of model and skimming them for any signs of the info I want, literally gasped out loud when I read exactly what I'm looking for in the title of one of your chapters! Watched the rest while I work and I gotta say, 6 hours of informative video is absolutely bonkers. It's actually refreshing having these real-time long form videos to chill with once in a while instead of everything being condensed into 10-20 minutes no matter the depth of the topic haha, good shit man.
Thats one of the biggest compliments I ever! I'm so glad I could help. If you need more help just let me know, I struggled so hard with figuring this stuff out back then 😅 so I totally get you
That was a long and amazing journey, it take DAYS to memorise it!! Your patience and information, you give through this video, is AMAZING!! I was creating my character based on so much things. "FOR THE FIRST CHARACTER THAT EAS TO MUCH" I think, but you show everything and I did it, slowly overcoming problems (but I still struggle with eyes, because I can't draw) Your video is more than character creation, it's really teaching blender from zero. For me It was the most informative, cozy and very helpful video I have ever seen! And thank you for sharing your references and helpful images!
@@StarkCraftsYT hell yeah, some people are built to improvise. Either way, I appreciate all your videos man! I can see you put a lot of time and care into them
I've always wondered how it's done. And suddenly this video! The perfect solution for those who are uncomfortable being in front of the camera :) Incredible work!
i have never found a tutorial for texture based tracking for models until now; you are a lifesaver!!!!! especially since i am inexperienced in blender and unity this tutorial is already making things so much easier to understand so thank you!!!
Thank you so much for this! I found the tutorial, and two hours later I have a complete character mesh. I need to fix things, but this is the first time I've managed to model hands, hard details, etc well. It answers every question I had about rigging and texturing and soon I'll have a complete vtuber model I can use, and the skills to model my own props and scenes too. Now I can be my own grimey sci-fi PS1 game :)
I know you’re busy AF! Maybe at some point in the future. Damn, I think your character designs would be perfect for a vtuber setup. Can’t wait to see a Vtuber avatar from you in the future 🙏
THANK YOU! I've been wanting to make a low poly vtuber model for *months* now, and I've been stuck trying to figure out how to get the face to work. This video is a massive help!
I'm not sure how many of the people who watched this is following your guide for a vtuber model, but I know I am. And I thank you so much for this because blender and unity were once things that upset me to no end with how confusing it can be.
:'D I'm so sorry! I tried a short version but It would skip a lot of infos, but I'm sure that you will be able to skip a lot with your previous knowledge
No worries at least everything is in one place for easier learning :D

please do a step by step from creating psx style character to animating and moving to unreal, I know there are some of yours already, but when it comes to the rig part I can't do it.
*96 IQ approved tutorial* You are talented instructor even for non-English speakers who dumb. Your voice is not annoying and easy to listen and follow your clicks. @@StarkCraftsYT yeah, I am more in traditional paintings and guitar music, so 3d modelling was completely new for me. This is a really good tutorial that helped me out a lot, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong? I set up the blend shapes exact step by step, but it won't blink, and putting it into vcf doesn't move the mouth either. Any idea what might be the problem?
My mirror modifier somehow got removed when exporting the model from blender with cats, any idea how I can fix it? I set everything up in unity but using the material list offset value only changes one eye only :(
Hello! Your video is amazing, but I cant reach your site to download skeleton asset from your video :( Can you paste it on mega or google drive please? It seems very helpful!!
when I try to do the blend shape stuff it wont show any of my face textures. I just have a gray box where the preview is supposed to be. is there a fix for this?
