I've always noticed you have a lot of board games on your shelves so decided to search your videos and sure enough found this! :) I'll never pass a board game in a charity shop or car boot again!.. thank you for all the amazing advice you have given!

More wise words from Nic again. On auction, say 20% of your listings will exceed the equivalent BIN price while the remaining will not. Starting low is not worth it unless you get a thrill from selling on auction while you can start high but it generally can 1. put people off bidding at all 2. stifle the potential sale price from going any higher ( unless you set your start price round about an equivalent BIN price ). The bidder and the BIN buyer are polar opposites with the bidder enjoying the thrill and uncertainty of an auction.
Thanks for the tips. Never tried selling board games, but just bought 2 today from local charity shop for £2 with resale of about £20-25 for the pair.

Hey Nic - me again! Wish I'd seen this video before the other day - picked up some cool board games at a charity shop at good prices. First attempt at it though so think I made a mistake with a Genus Edition Trivial Pursuit I paid £2 for...woops! haha. Great video thanks.

I’ve watched a few of your videos, mainly from when you started the channel (eg. This one, the video about cd’s and checking eBay for sold prices etc) would you say anything has changed in what to look for, is there something new to look out for or are things still par for the course would you say? I’m thinking of taking the plunge so any hints would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Really enjoying going through your videos. I have been buying and selling on Ebay for a good 10 years now but not to the amount you sell. I have often looked into selling boads games but have am always been worried that bits are missing out of them. When you see them at bootfairs do you only buy them complete? Do you know them all from memory if thay are complete?

How much do you sell games for on ebay
How do u find the time to check board games at car boot sales to see if there are pieces missing, also how do you know if certain electronic items even work properly?
versaceboy7777777 It is sometimes impossible to check every piece in a game, I have so many spare parts from incomplete games that I have picked up over time that I can complete most games I find that are missing pieces. With electronics it is a bit of a gamble...
I have 3 Trivia Pursuit Master Games Genius Edition to sell, so I may have a problem selling them all off after hearing your advice. I think the problem with them is they weigh over 2 Kilograms and the cheapest postage I can charge with them is £5.79 with Hermes, so expensive to post. I know I will be lucky to break even with them if I put them in an auction. Any suggestions for an appropriate selling price? What is your experience. If so how did you manage to sell them off.
+Ben I have an online royal mail account which works out prices on an average weight so I can send them for £2.50 - to be honest I hardly bother with those any more apart from at Christmas... the market is flooded and like you say they are so heavy
Hi Nic, Just found your channel. Do you have a video where you discuss postage. I started selling last year but stopped as I really struggled with postage costs. Do you take everything to get weighed etc before listing? thanks
***** Yes I have done a couple of videos about postage - I have an online royal mail account so I have a postage paid ink stamp that I stamp on all my parcels etc and put them in bags and pay by working out the average weight... have a browse through my videos on my channel..

That should sell fine with only one bit missing - just be sure to declare it in the listing :)

I think you're at the point where you just don't care anymore, and you just want to have fun, share the knowledge, be a CZcamsr, make friends, enjoy your hobby which happens to be your job. You've paid off the mortage so now you just don't care and want to have fun. It's not about the money.
I care a great deal - but there is so much stuff out there I have to restrict myself with my buying because I find too much - it is certainly less about the money for us now and more about the lifestyle and enjoying what we do but I am still very passionate about it :)
When you don't pay rent and don't pay a mortage, life is wonderful. I still pay rent and it is hell. :(
How much more can you get for the popular games like monopoly games and scrabble if you wait until around christmas to list them? I've noticed the brand of monopoly millionaire I've just bought for example only goes for around £10 on ebay at the moment. Better to horde these until november? Could you get double or more nearer christmas?
+ryan brown It varies a lot - some titles sell consistently all year round - but I see a big spike in the demand and prices of all toys and games at Christmas, especially items that are good as gift ideas.
