Hayman Fire damage visible on Stoney Pass Rd. Riding with Cycle South in Colorado

Today I rode SW of Deckers Colorado to Stoney Pass Road. This is a loose dirt sand and gravel road that leads right into the center of the burned-out mountainsides from the terrible 2002 Hayman Fire, the worst in Colorado history.
20 years later and regrowth is just now appearing.
Today I rode to a protected area from the winds and got out my camp gear and cooked a nice meal, sat back in my chair and tried to see the mountains move.
