Thanks man for the help. I’m doing this on an iPad, which (to me) isn’t easy. Also, I’m not even sure yet that I like the distraction from riding that dealing with cameras causes. The jury is still out. And no one seems to enjoy these videos enough (based on analytics) to where they’d be missed if I stopped making them

​@@DanielByersCycleSouth I've only made a few videos and I was shocked at how much time editing takes. It is a different mindset when recording to make video. To be interesting we really need multiple camera mount locations as well as different scenes. I went through 6 hours of video and ended up with a three minute video. I have the camera on all the time so I don't miss anything but I won't do that anymore because it takes too long to review each file. I am going to try to just record a couple minutes when the conditions or view changes and if I pass something special when the camera is off I will turn around and ride it again. I wanted to video my trip from California to Anchorage but there were constantly neat things to see around every corner and after the first day I realized that wasn't going to work so I just took pictures. But even then I only stopped once in a while or I never would get anywhere. Later I thought I should have set my video camera to take a picture every few minutes all day long and if there was something extra special I could pull over and wait the length of time to make sure the camera recorded it. But I didn't think of it then. I think your trip is worth recording for the future you as well as the rest of us to watch. It will bring back great memories. If you make it for you, you won't be disappointed in how much (or little) interest each video gets from others. Editing time I think needs to be ruthless starting with only a few files, then cut and paste the special clips and add voice-over and music if you can. Just some of my thoughts though, others who actually make great videos can give you a lot more insight.

@DanielByersCycleSouth Yeah for sure that's been my experience as well is that most people everywhere are friendly. But still there are lots of desperate poor people around the globe. That's why my travel bike looks like beat up pos with a crappy spray job and duffel bags for luggage.
