Met him at a convention recently. From what I could tell, he certainly had an ego on him, but he was a good guy and clearly cared about the show and the fans.

Every one expects actors to be perfect dude he was like 20 when he filmed power rangers. Yeah he was a goof and immature what do you aspect from someone in there 20's hell I'm 20 and I still do goofball stuff. The man spent most of his 20's as a hero for kids. He isn't doing drugs he isn't crashing cars he isn't doing anything illegal. He does what he loves is ALWAYS with his family. So how about instead of tearing down someone you don't actually know try and better yourself

He's the reason why I cried in a department store so that my mom will buy me a saber sword toy. Kids in the neighborhood was hooked up to those kind of things back then. :D

Jason came to our Martial Art school back during the power ranger days. there are some videos of him teaching on our channel. I'm excited to see bloodshot. I also got to train with JDF at numerous EFC and other conventions.

I remember when I used to watch power rangers on jedix when they were doing power rangers re-runs and i would be pissed every episode that didnt have tommy cuz he was just so boss in that show. he took the hearts of every single person in the show. I dont think there is a single person in the world who didnt think Jason David Frank, as "Tommy", made power rangers all the worth while. Go Green Ranger, GO!

Burai was an amazing character. He is was missed in the show. Yeah he could of shown some more appreciation after his contract. Throughout those ten years though he did still help with the show. Maybe not as an onscreen actor but he still helped behind the scenes. Kind of in a way like the guys who played bulk and skull have and still continue to do.
It's crazy how he's like almost 40 now...I will always remember him as Tommy, the white ranger!

@Adiorocks949 Also don't forget that they had a lot of fight scenes OUT of the suits to shoot. That's probably what he was referring to. But yeah, most of the in-suit fighting was footage taken from Zyuuranger.

My brother goes to an mma place in Cali, and he got to train a class the other night with Jason David Frank watching over him. Got to talk to him a bit and Jason said he did good and if he keeps training hard he could be testing for his black belt soon.

21 here and very much a fan of the old seasons. Granted, I might be younger than American fans due to the series first needing to come to Europe, but for the Power Rangers that went relatively fast, within a year, just lagging a season behind.

You know alot of people hate on this guy. Some think he has turned into a stereotypical douchebag. Well i can honestly say he hasnt. Wanna see what of those go see Austin St John or Johnny Young Bosch. Seriously though i have met this guy before. He is an honest guy who hasnt let any fandom he has go to his head. He makes an honest living owning his businesses and doing fights. This guy aint lazy. He has a ton of different black belts and awards. People just need to calm down about things.

It's called professionalism. When you have to work with someone you do not like, you just have to do your job & act out your character on the show. The only reason JDF spoke out about Austin is because he wants people to know the truth. That does not mean he "hates" him. He is just deeply offended by Austin's lies & stories. Since no one spoke publicly about it, JDF chose to do it. He does not mind being friends with the guy. He just doesn't like it when people are fake & hide from the truth.
