Thank you for this video, the problems I have with google ads is the bidding , the higher your bid the more impressions, but it necessary do not lead to conversion just clicks and you are just burning through money.
Love your content, great quality Side note, I do skip ads, and I believe ton of people do. Skipping ads means I don't click it and doesn't mean I don't see it. And its really easy to tell the difference between the two. No matter how good they blend it.. there is literally and "ads" word in any google ad !!
OH MY GOD, thats priceless info, guys. I did not have time to say , i also missed John's live streams, but with your help and your channel i got a new job in marketing agency which helps to grow brands like Adidas, Coca Cola and others. So, i totally recommend everybody listening to this guys. John, Regina and Kasim are GOATS
Hi guys :) great video...Can you clarify please what objective we have to choose for lead gen purposes? leads or without guidance?Thank you in advance!!!
You guys are awesome for this kind of content ❤️ thank you so much! PS I wanna be a successful Google Ads specialist what other steps should I take besides being certified? (I have both Search and Shopping certs/have taken multiple Udemy courses/read books)
Hey Thilan, thanks for the compliment man, much appreciated. Re being a successful specialist, get some runs on the board. Put your successes out there, whether it is via youtube, facebook, tiktok..whereever. People love seeing wins. You can have all the quals in the world, but if you can't show runs on the board, it means squat.
@@solutionseight thank you so much for the advice! At my current job, They let me handle their PPC (SaaS niche) and it’s a bit tough. But I’ll keep pushing! I have watched your SaaS Google Ads video too btw! Any other tips on the SaaS space? Thank you!
Hey guys, I see this video is 3 1/2 months old, however I'd like to ask if you are also noticing that Manual CPC is now gone? It's not appearing any time I'm going to make an ad now.
Hey guys good stuff, good stuff. I have recently a demand for local ads and with the new gmb interface changes things are all over the place! I couldn't even add myself as an admin to the client's gmb profile in order to manage their account and run ads on my ads account. Could you please help with this? Thank you!
Kasam - I've received more tactical value from your podcast + this channel than from some of the platforms in the marketing space that tout being THE PLACE for marketing. I wish you and the platform I'm thinking about would collaborate. At any rate - if you roll out a membership, I want to be a founding member lol.
Hey I've watched some of your other videos and they are great. Im ten mins into this one and I have a question that's been bugging me for the last week. If you had an existing and account with some search ads campaigns running and nothing else (for e-commerce) and you wanted to do shopping ads, would you start off with Smart Shopping ads or normal shopping ads and why? Or would you run both at the same time? I remember you mentioning in another video that smart shopping benefits from normal shopping ads. Thank you for your time.
Hi Paul, that's a great question! For an account like the one you described, it's usually better to start with standard shopping just for the ability to use the Manual CPC bidding strategy. Starting off with more control over your bids is extremely valuable with a new campaign in an account without much history. As you see conversions come in and you are getting happier with where your cost per conversion is at, then you can create a smart shopping campaign, let it run in tandem with standard shopping until it ramps up, and then turn off standard shopping.
@@solutionseight - Oh cool, thank you for your reply, I have one more question, when setting up the Shopping campaigns would you stick with a plain Manual CPC bidding strategy or would you start off with for the shopping campaigns (Manual CPC with Enhanced CPC -> Optimise for Conversion Value)? Thank you for your response and your content on CZcams it has been very eye opening for me.
Thanks for the insights. I have a question about Conversion Actions. In Campaign set up, goals are set at Campaign level. There are potentially many irrelevant Conversion Actions automatically added, because they are grouped like they are - in categories. By irrelevant, I mean a company with many entities or services that need Conversions to remain separated. I can create separate campaigns, but when it comes to Conversion Actions, I can go as far as choosing a category for the Campaign goals, but I can't choose specific Conversion Actions and disregard others that shouldn't be used in that entity's or service's campaign. Is there a workaround to this problem if we are using one account, or must we create accounts for as many entities and services as we have, so that Conversion Actions for one service don't get counted for another service?
This was awesome 👏, especially the last part about the optimization and the ad testing. I wish you could record another video about google ads optimization in 2022
Thank you for the gread video!!!! Just quick question, when selecting group conversions for specific ecommerce campaign you just include purchases or also add to cart and checkouts? I'm used to only optimize for 1 in Facebook Ads but maybe here is better to optimize for all three.
I would absolutely only use the purchase conversion for ecommerce. If you add add to carts and checkouts, Google may not get purchases and still think its doing great anyway.
Yes - performance max campaign in Google utilizes images, youtube videos and looks for new customers in an omn-channel way so these ads can appear in many places. Otherwise, you can combine Google ads with FB ads, Instagram ads, etc!
Hi what placement would I need if I want my still advert whenever there is a video that relates to my market. I dont to do video adverts I want to place my advert on CZcams
Hi Mandy, we presume you are referring to the video ads that appear before a video starts playing, that you can skip after 5secs? They are instream ads that you would need to run a youtube campaign. Sometimes, you will see an image that appears over a video as it starts. They will appears if you are using a display or remarketing campaign. Hope that helps.
That was a really good video. The Google lies part was funny. They are desperately trying to squeeze every cent of revenue out of their platform. Don’t get me started on keyword vs negative keyword matches. I started in SEO because PPC wasn't invented yet. It would seem like in order to maximize their Ads revenue. They are turning PPC into SEO.
Good video with all i have watched this really help me so much quick question how can i set a good google campaign for pet that will get me more sale ?
Hi Elizabeth, glad you found good value in it! In general, we would suggest starting by setting a good base by knowing your numbers and goals - determining your return on ad spend (ROAS) goals, sales goals, and making sure you know the monetary value of your average customer. Then, make sure you know how much you're willing to invest each month, ideally for 3 months, in a campaign. From there, you'll simply have to follow the guidelines in this video (and our others) and test, test, test :)
Good question. Typically, we recommend starting off in observation mode first then once you learn from that, add audiences to targeting. It really depends on the goal of your campaigns though, it might make sense to start off super targeted. Thanks for watching!
Hey Angel, as you are only using observation mode - meaning people outside these audiences will still see your ads - I would not get too held up in finding the perfect audiences to start with as you can always add more audiences. I continue to add audiences every 7-14 days until I am getting 85-90% of all clicks coming from added audiences. So to answer your questions I would add audiences that are: - at all related your product ie: health & fitness, beauty, technology - at all related to your target demographic: ie parents, employees of small/medium or large companies When selecting audiences in Google ads I always add any related terms in the search function to see what Google suggests and then select and add any audiences that I think are relevant Hope that helps 😀
@@angelfernandez6812 YES I would still add audiences to the campaign - even with smart bidding. That way you can complete extra optimisations by adding advanced bid adjustments to the best performing audiences.
We rarely use Shared Budgets as I think it sometimes takes too much away from the automated bidding by fighting for ad spend and that is why you rarely see us mention it, but, what can I help with?
@@johnmoran5680 I have seen that people split daily budget - for generic keywords, brand keywords, and competitors. So I just wanted to know what is your opinion about that. Also, at 8:30 you did choose the Search campaign instead of the performance max, but later on, did not tell anything about the performance max. When can we expect to watch a video about that? I know that recently you created 1 video about performance max, but would be great to see a similar video about that as you told about the Search campaign in this video.
@@davisberzins9786 So, we have tested split budgets before, but, what we found most often is that there is actually more than one campaign in the set up that will perform really well, but, whichever campaign ends up having more volume, eats up too much of the budget that the other campaign that would have also performed equally better at low volume, didn’t perform to even 50% of its potential. Google reacted too quickly to the volume and reduced the effective potential of the other campaigns. We normally analyze which campaign is going to have what sort of volume, and set the budget accordingly first. Also, yes sir! I’ll shoot an updated video on performance max and what we have been seeing!
