I bought this perfume in Paris, in Coty, by your lovely recommends 😀, but honestly, I don't like it, I have expected some nice vanilla bomb..but not..I gave it to my sister 🤷🏼♀️
After years of following you I’ve learned one thing: when you’re this excited about one fragrance I have to pay attention. It was like this with: Vanilla Vibes, Hibiscus Palm, Lune Feline, Delina La Rosee, Levant. So, I finally was able to get a decant at Jovoy.
After I put it on I thought “well it’s good but so far I’m not sold” and then I started to move and i couldn’t stop being entranced by the sillage I was leaving behind. Exactly like you said I had to smell it Encore une Fois, like a magic potion enveloping me and making me feel super feminine and pretty even in the scorching heat that’s roasting Italy nowadays. After 4 hours I was still able to smell it on my skin, and so I knew I had to have it and I bought the full size. Once again thank you sir much Josephine, this is a scent I’ll be able to enjoy all year round and I love it! You’re really the best!

Absolutely adore this fragrance. So unique and beautiful. It instantly became one of my go-to signature scents. Blind bought it solely on your recommendation, and I'm so happy that I did 😍
Jury is still out for me on this one....the performance for me is abysmal, given this is one of the marketing points. I just can't smell it well enough to enjoy it....I have kept it to see if it improves with more maceration....if not, will get rid of it

I bought the Day set of 5x10ml which had this one. Bought it after Josephine’s last video mentioning this one. It’s nice, but didn’t last very long on me either. I’m glad I bought the set though. I’m moving away from large bottles of anything these days. Lots of 10mls are working better for me.
I appreciate your opinion. Like Lune feline she hyped it, then it’s a horrible scent of vanilla.

@@jayeichi That was one of the samples they included for me. Haven’t used it yet. I’ll enjoy what I have, but won’t repurchase. The postage to Australia alone makes it much more expensive. 😊
Waw. I ordered sample and I felt exactly like you, when I tried it. It makes me sensitive 😅 it remindes me something from childhood. I am not fan of vanilla but this is something unusuall, freshier type of vanilla. Thank you.

I got a sample off your recommendations. Sure it's nice but nothing to rave about. Tho I think the same of Guerlain SDV, certainly wouldn't say it's worth the price point. Babycat is way more interesting and alluring.

I bought this blind about a month ago because of Jus de Rose, and it is really good. The only thing is it reminds me of Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love as well as YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, both of which I own and love. Not saying they are exact dupes, but verrry reminiscent. I also almost bought Donna Karan Cashmere & Palo Santo but it smells very similar, too.

@@user-V-8-SBR …make sure it’s the Le Parfum version, which has lots of vanilla! Angelique Noir is definitely more of a “green” or herbal vanilla

Thanks for the review and I’m totally with you on this one! 💕 I adore this too and have recently added it to my collection after working through the travel size. What I love about it is how radiant it is, with depth but a clean, musky base. A vanilla that works in summer. I agree that it’s special. For me it has great performance too. I have found several to love from this line 💛
I love your reviews and your unique take on perfume. However, I would react quite differently if you said your intro in reverse: This was gifted to me and it is the best perfume I ever smelled…

I bought this perfume based on your earlier review and i really like it. Something in it reminds me of something in Dior Poison. I dont know what it is because they dont have any notes in common exept for the vanilla, so maybe they just have the same kind of delicate vanillla note :)

What bull exaggeration? You have a dent because after 6 spritz you still can't smell the fragrance.
I tried this fragrance a month ago at Liberty London. 5 mins and it's gone.
Oh, and for those thinking about Guerlain Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21, not even close.
I couldn't even tell it had vanilla except from the display picture on the counter.
She has a dent because you have to basically shower in the jus to have at least 2 or 3 hours of decent wear! I know this is not a review but a commercial, but if she had done such an in-depth, and NOT BIASED review of this fragrance in the same way she reviewed Demi’ Rawling’s parfume in the recent past , I am sure she whould have mentioned that!!! 🥰

I am not a great gourmand lover and I don’t own it, but I have smell it on someone and it was very pleasant for being not my style of fragrances….
Honestly I was very disappointed by this scent. They advertised it with a monster longevity but it barely lasts on my skin. Luckily I only purchased a travel size. Its nice but there are much better vanilla scents out there! Sorry Jus. this time I don't share your excitement.
Same for mr! You can get a 100 ml bottle of Kayali’s Vanilla 28 for hafor half of the price and save a lot of money for other fragrances which are maybe true masterpieces….
@@CristinaCannizzaro Oh, I can't smell Kayali Vanilla 28, smells like a dusty book paper to be. Any other good, different vanilla rec's? I have SDV/ it's ok, I get pencil shavings, babysat, I do love, Lune Feline eh it's ok, AN, a love more but more floral, Tihota, too expensive for what it is. I want SDV what it used to be before they pumped it full of iso e super.
If you love Gourmand Vanillas I recommend Bianco Latte from Giardini di Toscana
It smells like a scoop of fine gourmet Italian “Pannacotta gelato” put at 2 centimeters from your nose. And the fragrance is a true Beast…no joke here! They ‘re going to smell you from Mars
If you like more of an ambery, sultry, boozy and sexy Vanilla I recommend you Andalusian Soul by the Merchant of Venice: performances are decent, not a beast but it lasts at least 6/7h on my skin and it smells like spiced vanilla biscuit and rhum…with some flowers in the background!
If you like super niche and challenging vanillas there is Van Exstasys From Lorenzo Pazzaglia! It’s a vanilla bomb and there’s no point in trying to describe it: it’s different on every one: on me sometimes smells like creamy milk chocolate mixed with a boozy coffee note,like Bailey’s…not a lot of vanilla vibes! But the pyramid is literally all vanilla…almost sokinote! It’s very challenging, very complex and it changes a lot on different skins! Very polarizing too! Some people love it, some people hate it! On me it’s beast mode
If you want a ultra feminine, floral and slightly vintage vanilla there is Vanilla Leather by Bdk: performance are good and it’s super buttery, smooth and a little bit lipsticky, so you have to like powdery nuances in order to appreciate it! I personally find it very chic and not ger any leather on my skin. None!
In the same realm there is Dama Bianca by Xerjoff: very feminine, angelic and elegant Vanilla with a nice citrusy kumquat opening and notes of violet and purple, powdery flowers that unfortunately isn’t a strong performer, so if you like powdery, flowers- vanillas , I would go for the Bdk one.
If you want a dark vanilla, I agree with Jus here: Baby Cat by Ysl is the queen of dark and smoky Vanillas in my book!

I'll test all the others, although, BDK Vanille Leather kinda smells bad on me, love Tabac Rose, love, love - but VL smells like spit up on me, sorry if it's too graphic.I have Dama Bianca, love it. I Find Lorenzo Pazzaglia a bit overwhelming to just wear for fun, it always makes me think~ I know that sounds weird, but that's how it makes me feel. Yeah, I have Babycat, it's gorgeous. Funny tho, I can't stand Ani. Again, thank you for taking the time to list these, appreciate it.
You should try Bianco Latte too! Performance is nuclear and it’s literally a compliments magnet! And if you like tropicals, from the same house give a try to Bora Bora: it is a creamy, coconut milk and tropical floral but also slightly gourmandish, delicious smelling vanilla that doesn’t share the beastly performances of BL but still performance is definitely decent and will make you get lots of compliments as well

This is indeed a great vanilla scent. And I am not even a fan of vanilla. However ... The sillage and longevity are too weak for such a high price. Bon Parfumeur has something similar.

Top niche vanilla is either Sultan or Lune Feline Extrait, at least for gourmandy vanillas. Ani and Absolute Aphrodisiac are quite different.
Interesting. I haven't heard great things about this brand in terms of lasting power, and considering the price.
I bought this and I can barely smell it. I'm guessing its one of those molecular-type fragrances that only certain people can smell. Maybe it will improve with age. I had the same experience with Sultan by Crown Royal and BR540 extrait.
@dcjimr1 that was my exact experience with the perfume...and the house claims it lasts 30hrs...barley lasts 30mins on me 😂😂....I think it has to be molecular

I was going to get the $170 discovery set ( which not to bad for 10 ml for each parfum) but held off due to poor responses to how long it lasted.

CC Josephine. J'ai acheté Babycat sur un coup de tête après avoir vu une de tes revues et j'avoue que je déteste ce parfum. Il a, à mon nez bien sûr, une odeur de pneu brulé et je n'ai aucune envie de le porter. Du coup, quand je vois ton enthousiasme je me laisserais bien tentée par celui là mais j'aurais aimé pouvoir le tester avant. Malheureusement il faut débourser 160e pour se procurer le kit d'échantillons sur le site. Quel dommage de ne pas faire des échantillons classiques de 2ml à un prix abordable.

My favorite vanilla of all time was Vanilla Soft Musk by Avon. They discontinued it. My next fav is Vanilla Fields. I'm not an expensive or complicated person.
I tried Babycat and I liked it but my skin did not! I got such an allergic reaction on my neck that took 1 week to disappear.
I did not try that perfume but maybe I now want to :)

I ordered a sample to test after seeing your video but i have to say i’m very disappointed! It’s veryyyyyyy light like i had to spray 3 times to get a decent idea of it. And the vanilla note is very faint in it! I’m a sucker for vanilla perfumes and this is a no😢

It smells nice but the performance is horrible.
I am quite disappointed by this fragrance. For me, the scent is very similaire from Vanori by Sylvaine de la Decouverte which is cheaper. "Encore une fois" is a good perfume but the price is totally abusive.
There is too much spice going on though... Unfortunately not for me
