You are so correct about Glossier You. I can NOT understand how people call that a "skin scent"... it's so sharp and sour. Was expecting something powdery-musky and low key, but on first sniff I was just shocked at how acrid it is.
RIGHT?? i’m glad it works for lots of people but it will never make sense to me hahaha
I’m so glad I bought the rollerball of this at Marshall’s for 12.99 because it’s is NOT a skin scent NOR migraine/headache friendly!!! It’s literally so strong as last forever on my skin when I put it behind my neck & lower back 😩.
@@sandonique i totally agree 😭
I agree with you on almost everything - love Burberry Goddess! But it's definitely nice to hear honest opinions in a thoughtful way
Thank you so much! I totally understand why you love it, it’s honestly just my skin’s fault for pulling florals to the forefront every chance it gets 🥲
This video is popping off!!!!! So proud of you!

Seems like I am the only person that loves Not A Perfume!!! It’s perfect for us migraine girlies/guys and works amazing with my skin chemistry.
@@sandonique i’m really glad it works for you!!! i know lots of people who love it so you’re defs not alone :)
Skin scent for me is currently Le Labo Rose 31. If people hadn't chipped in and gotten it for me for my birthday, I wouldn't be paying that price for it but it is really lovely on me. Even with the cumin. They've discontinued their iris perfume, which I also loved and that's a damn shame. It was the only iris perfume I'd ever smelled that was like an actual iris and a skin scent. Also can recommend Commodity Velvet personal and Gold expressive.
@@bodacioustness5054 thank you so much for your recommendations!! i’ll try to get my hands on them :)
Bottom line it smells like grass🍃
LMAO yeah i realized while i was editing that i think of perfumes in that way too often…i gotta figure out what note is triggering that association
Haha, I love your descriptions! I immediately could imagine what an apple pie scented eraser was. I also don't get the hype around goddess. It just smells like lemon cleaner to me.
hahaha thank you! i try to make my descriptions as oddly specific as possible so i’m glad you enjoy them 💘
I love Burberry Goddess, that Vanilla hits on me so good honey omg.
i’m so jealous 😭
I love that you are brave and will give honest opinions. So many of those you mentioned I dislike as well, after so many people rave about them I wonder if something is wrong with my nose. Especially I don't understand the Kayali obsession with people. I did buy a travel of Vanilla 28 and only wear it with my Avignon to tone down the incense. I did finally find a musc perfume that I love and it's Rania J Musc Moschus.
I LOVe Musc Moschus! I only have a decant for now, but it's definitely going to be a full bottle purchase sometime soon
Thank you for sharing!! I haven’t heard of that perfume until now so I’ll have to keep my eye on it :)
Let Lemon Tart macerate for a year and then try again. 😚👌
@@stefaniebach6310 i just have a lil sample of it left so i’ll probably come back to try it again eventually hahaha
I didn’t like lemon tart. It’s not gourmand enough for me & did become like pledge lemon. I enjoy Lira. I’m also really liking the new Kayali Capri lemon. Like a lemon candy Lilly but with a hint of bakery. Gelato yum I love the drydown. Not the opening. I get the cotton Candy, the sweet, hazelnut , whipped cream. Maybe try spraying it in the air and see what you smell. Shame it smells like grass. All Our skin is different with scents. I used to love kayali vanilla. I don’t enjoy it on my skin these days. Smells nice in the air. I feel like it’s changed or I’m nose kind. Yes a lot of florals.
@@elissacaddy2216 i’ve been DYING to try Lira!! fingers crossed it works out for me because i have a huge soft spot for citrusy vanillas. i tried Yum Pistachio on paper and i sadly still couldn’t smell any sweetness :( just something i have to accept i’m nose blind to. thank you so much for sharing your experience with these fragrances!!
I wonder if vanilla note is just a particular note that doesn't work well with your skin chemistry. What are the vanilla fragrances that you personally feel are good on you?
i love sooo many vanilla perfumes! the ones i can think of off the top of my head are phlur’s vanilla skin, al rehab’s choco musk, lattafa’s eclaire, navitus’ mahni cassonade, and kayali’s wedding silk santal, plus some blends like akro’s bake, d&g’s devotion, hilde soliani’s donna sentenza, and more. i think it’s more the combination of certain florals (possibly jasmine, i’ve heard lots of people with similar tastes as me tend to struggle with that note) with vanilla that throws me off for some reason.
@@anamawsity have you tried more pure vanillas? Like indult tihota or mazzolari Vaniglia (outremer vanille is a dupe) for example. Because the ones you mentioned are also not exactly true vanilla perfumes
@@aurigavega i haven’t tried either of those yet, but they are on my list to try! but i swear vanilla is one of my favourite notes in fragrance, it’s just that perfumes like kayali’s vanilla 28 or burberry goddess, i can only enjoy after the sharp florals have faded a few hours into wearing them. that being said, i have no explanation as to why my nose can’t pick up any sweetness in yum pistachio gelato, i fear that will forever remain a mystery
@@anamawsity oh yes I totally relate to your struggles! I hate some of the "vanilla" perfumes you mentioned as well. In my case it's because vanilla note really blends in with my skin chemistry that it becomes like a skin scent. So if vanilla is not the absolute dominant note, all the other notes will take over. That's why I suggested the pure vanilla fragrances. In my case those types are the only ones that actually smell like vanilla because there are no other notes that dominate the vanilla. So perhaps you can test how vanilla actually reacts on you when you try on the more true/pure vanilla dominant fragrances too :)
@@aurigavega i’ll definitely give the ones you recommended a go when i get a chance!! thank you for your advice and for sharing your experience with me 💖
I love this video and your thoughts!😆My favorite vanilla perfume is Morn to Dusk Eau D'Italie, i want to know your thoughts about it.😊
@@jashaertjens5116 i’m so glad you liked it!! morn to dusk isn’t one of my favs because the floral is just a TAD too strong on my skin, but i think it’s overall really nice! it’s one of those fragrances that’s really light and inoffensive and thus a pretty safe blind buy for most people :)
@@anamawsity Thats true there is a floral note in that makes it easier to wear!😁Looking forward to more videos like this!😉

Glossier You smelled like pencil shavings on me 😂 i wanna smell like plain bread tho so i might check that out
so many people love it so it might work great for you!!!
Lemon tart smell like buttery icing lemon pledge!!!! Disgusting indeed😂 Lait concentré.... Ughhhhj horrible too. How on hell would someone smell like this?!😂
i so wish they smelled good to me 😭 it’s just not meant to be
I hate Burberry Goddess! I got a travel spray to try it out because of the hype and it just smells generic, cheap, low-class. Like i went out to the sports bar and got ripped. I have no idea what people smell in this. Also same story for Elish. Thank you for making an honest video about these because i've been throwing my money away. I'm still obsessed with finding scents i can wear though.
thank you for watching!! there are so many perfumes out there that i know we would love, so we just gotta keep searching 💖
I dont like Delina. It smells like a cheap body spray to me!!
@@SuperFilicia i haven’t tried it, but considering how rose-heavy it is, there’s no way i would like it 😭
