Probation for 10 years for a crime you didn't even commit and somehow people want to call him a career criminal. He was sent to prison for a marijuana violation and popping a wheelie during a video shoot that doesn't even get you a ticket in philly, thats the craziness of it all, if any one of those "non criminals" get caught with marijuana or popping a wheelie they would be getting a warning or ticket, nothing more, this is the problem with the probation system
Reginald White Welcome to America my friend. Should they rewrite the whole justice system? I got pulled over for 'No seatbelt' even though I had 1 on. Then cop gets my license and realized it was suspended for a parking ticket I didn't pay. I know dude ran my plate before he stopped me...he just needed to make up a reason to stop me. Is that right cops can lie just to catch you up? No. Was I in the wrong driving suspended...yes. The laws will always have 'Loopholes'.
Sound Logic you’re totally missing the point, the gun charge was most likely true the problem is the probation system that’s designed to people (not just blacks) in the system, this equals money spent, jobs for lawyers, judges, prisons etc. my only problem is these parole violations are so minor they wouldn’t result in jail time for anyone outside of someone on probation, the limitations placed on a persons life is just insane? The violations have nothing to do with the initial charge
Tone B Nimble actually I do think they should rewrite the whole system and we can’t allow it to be accepted that cops can lie or do illegal activities, thus the legal term “fruit from a poisonous tree” has been used many times, but I mostly have a problem with the probation system that keeps folks in the system many years after a crime, you sound reasonable I challenge you to read the many stories of technical violations that will leave you scratching your head, laws and jail time should be objective and not subjective

I had a surprising talk this morning. I'm a white guy who has been talking about racism since the tail end of Obama. This black guy I was talking to this morning was telling me about how his drivers license came to be suspended. As I was listening I noticed a whole string of elements that would have been different if he had my skin. I started to defend him and he stopped me, pointing out how HE had failed to take care of the multiple tickets that had led to his suspension. I HAD TO STOP HIM and say "Hey, this is how that whole progression would have played out if it was me, a white guy". I was amazed but I guess I shouldn't be. People get used to injustice, and suffer.
