I realized the other day that I've watched your videos for 4 years. Our styles have both changed (I think we have both improved), but I still watch all of your videos.
I'm really excited about these festival videos. You're so enthusiastic. I'm finally starting going to festivals.
I would love to see a look book on realistic camping outfits. I love clothes, but obviously I don't want them to interfere with my experience. I'd love to see what you wear at festivals.
Bring a flashlight/lantern! Learned that one the hard way.
I don't even plan on going to a festival and I watched the whole thing
we rigged a shower up by using a watering can head and attached it to a huge water jug then hung up it up and put a tarp around it and boom got yourself a quick shower!! its good enough for those quick rinse offs at the end of a day before it gets too chilly out!! Also the gallons of water are so cheap so they work good we even froze them and used them to keep our ice chest cold for a few days!
+Tiffani James I just got a portable shower for $20! Heat it in your car/in the sun, then you have a WARM shower! Clutch

Another tip is that not all camping festivals let you have you cars right there! So if you have to lug your stuff long distances, bring like a dolly or things that roll ! I saw people stuffing stuff into suit cases or tupperware and stacking them on dollies ! :D
FINALLY! I'm so sick of these dumb festival videos that are just about coachella! I've gone to bonnaroo the past two years and I will go this year and I feel like there's not very good advice about this thank you Lindsey this is great advice I wish I had this in 2014 ❤️ I would say canapés are like the most important thing to bring cuz otherwise there's zero shade and it's so hot, solar showers are amazing too, baby wipes are a life saver for mud, and also don't wear a romper cuz the bathroom situation is nasty and you don't want your entire outfit on the floor

There is also portable showers you can buy. I bought one last year for electric forest. Mine was a bag and we just filled it with water and set it on top of the car to warm the water up.
When it comes to food, bring stuff that won't perish. Although it can be expensive at times, there is food inside.
BABY WIPES! They will help you feel refreshed if you don't feel like you are clean.
Feminine wipes! I learned this the hard way. My first camping festival afterwards I got a UTI. You aren't able to clean yourself down there due to shower limitations so bring those to help out!
Also, put a tarp underneath your tent. That way if it rains your tent won't start soaking all the water in
I went to Squamish Valley music fest last year and so could have used this advice, the weather was great during the day but it rained 3/4 of the nights and rained so hard that our sleeping bags were filled with water and so much stuff got wrecked, still so worth it anyways 😍
Hi Lindsey! i am loving these festival videos. I know a lot have been done already, but i would love to see your festival essentials. also "festival proof" hair or makeup. i am going to coachella again this year and bummed you wont be there. You should really check out Outside Lands Music festival. I go every year and it's so much fun. I honestly like it better than coachella. It's a lot more chill and it's in SF so the weather is perfect. Hope you have a great weekend!! xx
I'm not sure if you'll mention this because I'm commenting early, but baby wipes or a rag you can get wet in a sink is literally the best thing ever after a sweaty day of dancing in the sun. I love to wipe my feet off and my face when I crawl into my sleeping bag and I can take off mascara :)
Hi Lindsey i don't know if you're going to see this but I just wanted to say how beautiful you are. You're recent videos have really opened my eyes no matter what the topic is. You make everyday life sound so beautiful and fulfilling as it should be. I'm a young college student who is scared to venture out and try new things but you express such a beautiful aura and you make me want to push myself and do things that I would have never tried. Now I have a list of things I want to do and if it wasn't for your videos that I stumbled upon at 4 am I would still be in the same negative place. I've been a long time viewer of yours and to be honest I got upset when I saw that you began posting new content other than beauty. Your videos got me into beauty. But now I see how you're changing so many people's attitudes about life. I truly think you are fulfilling one of your many roles on this earth. awesome tips! I would add that if you go to a festival where you DON'T car camp (more of the transformational/experience festivals than just music - like lightning in a bottle, burning man, enchanted forest, symbiosis, etc), you don't have to arrive with your friends, and you don't want to overpack because you'll have to carry everything to your site from the parking lot.

i camped for 24 days this summer haha. ive never been to a music festival but if i ever do, camping for a weekend will be a piece of cake :)
I relate to this so much, I went 35 days last summer and 60 this summer, I'm so pumped! :)
one tip I can give is bring rainboots and ponchos because firefly music festival last year taught me to be prepared for any kind of weather like that.
These are all such amazing tips! I have been going to the same Christian music festival for 4 years now and you definitely learn a thing or two the more times you go, and you were spot on! I loved hearing you talk about this and even I learned a thing or two!

If you ever consider going to Europe for a festival, you should check out Roskilde Festival. You can camp 3 days before the music starts, so it's like a weeks camping. Cool video!

I’ve watched many many many videos about this and this is the best video I’ve come across!
I'm not even going to a festival and this is making me excited omg
I would recommend bringing a gallon of water for each day you're going to be there! You're going to need water not only for drinking, but also cooking and cleaning yourself like she said! I would recommend bring separate water for washing yourself with(sink water so you aren't wasting fresh drinking water) and tons of wash cloths! Also, makeup wipes and face wash wipes!! Bring a fresh pack as you will probably run through the whole pack! Dry shampoo, body sprays, and (I know it's gross but I learned the hard way) double the amount of socks and underwear you expect to wear!! Especially the socks part!! don't forget your essentials either like lotion and face moisturizer. Plan outfits for all kinds of weather( including pajamas) put your phone on airplane mode when you are with you're entire group and KNOW nobody is trying to get ahold of you, it will save you tons of battery! Most of all, have fun!! You only get to experience each festival once!

Yes I always do the showering with water jugs! One gallon water jug actually provides a full shower! Just bring a swimsuit and shampoo + body wash :) also instead of tapestries you can get old white sheets and tie dye them :) also a flag is a good idea so it's easy to find your campsite because it's super easy to get lost!

I went to Tomorrowworld last year and even though it rained. It was the best time ever 😻 I met my boyfriend there. Sucks that the weather had to ruin it for everyone 🙁
I love festivals, the majority of festivals in the UK involves camping in very changeable weather! Sunshine, rain and mud ! lol
I understand the :30 minute walk at Okeechobee my tent blew away Saturday night last year 🙃 had to walk from portal 4 to passed aquachobee beach.... thankful for friends making room! 😭😭😭

I have NEVER camped on a festival in "beautiful scenery" hahaha but that's probably a Belgian thing. It's all dirt, condoms, booze, cigarettes, rotting food, ... EVERYWHERE. Also AT LEAST one of the days it will rain, so have fun packing up your tent in the mud (just a little tip of you would ever want to go to a Belgian festival haha) but I bet it's better in the warm weather of California :)
lived for this! you just brought all the 'choobee feels. I loved that in okechobee the porta pottys were the worst part, and more than an often I got a reallyy good one! the trick was looking behind the door and finding 3 clocks noting the time they were getting cleaned out!!
The Okeechobee porta potty were really clean every time I went, my boyfriend and I were surprised because we're use to expecting the worst at festivals.

If only I could find a nearby festival I am really excited about! The local one I went to last year, Paradiso at the Gorge, was so amazingly fun, but it was 108 degrees and only got down to 80 at night. I don't know if I can do it again haha.
omg, i love this! festival vibes are the best when everyone everywhere on and off stage is just feeding off each each other's energy! i would say that 👉baby wipes👈 are a definite essential. they're life savers for when you're all sweaty and sticky and smelly 😅👌

I loooove camping music festivals! I have only been to one country music festival (I don't even like country lol) that I have gone to twice but we got to reserve our spots and we were allowed trailers and motor homes which was really really nice since we were there for 4 days. I would love to try festivals with different genres of music tho! I just like going to make friends and party!

This year is going to be my 3rd year at the Open'er festival but it's going to be my first time camping cause me and my friends always rented an apartment near the festival. I'm super nervous but also excited!!

I have some festival advice. Don't worry about what your wearing/showing your body if you aren't confident. It's probably gonna be hot therefore everyone is sweaty and hot too. Put on that bikini top and pair of soft shorts and have a fun time! I was so self conscious about my body at Bonnaroo that I suffered in sweat until the final day when I was like "screw this! it's hot and I wanna go hard for 21 piolts!" Just a small tip that makes a big difference! ❤

I am going to an outdoor concert and a festival this summer (so much more I wish I could go to, but financially and timing-wise, I can not afford to). linsey if you really love festivals you should try some of the uk and european festivals, probably the best in the world! the uk ones may be a bit grimy and druggy but totally worth it (also they are all camping) xx

Any tips for someone who’s traveling to another state for a camping festival? As in it very necessary to have a car if you’re camping at a festival? If that’s the case i guess i could rent a car but that’s more money spent so do they not let you camp if you don’t have a car?

What do you do if you are on your period during the festival?? I've always wondered this & never really heard anyone talk about this

Invest in a Divacup or something similar, truuust.
I got THINX underwear this year and if I am on my period (hopefully I won't be) I'm just going to use those because they last all day and I'd just put them in a waterproof bag when I change them each day and wash them when I get home. I also use summer's eve wipes for cleaning purposes each year. Otherwise most festivals have bathrooms and some type of showers so you can really do whatever you normally do.
