  • Can you see how using filler words and non-words drastically reduces the clarity of your message?
This is a clip from my in-person workshop where I coach some of my students LIVE to help them improve their communication skills.
If you want to attend an in-person workshop of mine, I'm running one workshop in Sydney Australia in June with @levelasianpod - if you're interested, click the link in my bio to register!!

I had already gotten rid of my filler words, but in turn I have this flaw that whenever I can't have a clear picture of what I really want to say, I have this filler sentences. I believe this is more than just beating around the bush, I hope.

    Wow!🤯
I knew filler words and non-words were bad, but I didn’t know they were so bad that they, literally, dilute one’s entire message with an overall feeling of lack of clarity, confidence, seriousness!
Thanks so much for helping us clearly and visibly see this, Vinh 👏🙏✊.

In addition to improving the skills of your choice, I would also suggest working on finding peace with introversion. Introversion is a wonderful thing, and you can do lots of stuff, including public speaking well, while being an introvert. Look into the writings/speakings of Susan Cain for a good starting point. You’ll do many things better, and more confidently, when you love yourself for the introvert that you are.

Vin, I have a question for you, how can I best learn English, is it through phrases or individual words or both?

Hey Vinh, what would you say to someone who isn't funny? It seems that laughter brings people together, but I can't make people laugh all the time. Only a few times.
    What do you think?
Please and thanks. I love your amazing work.

You have made a couple videos about not using filler words and non-words. It's a good tips though, but should you really make another one?
