Thank you MISD for the continued effort in trying to resolve this unprecedented situation. It’s not an easy one. As parents I think grace is what our administration, teachers, and staff need right now. Not complaining and making it seem like they aren’t trying. Today I had to pick up my kids early for a Dr appointment at 3 different schools and it required a few different steps to ensure my kids weren’t being picked up by a stranger. I could’ve gotten mad and impatient but that would’ve made it more stressful on them and things wouldn’t change just because I’m upset. I guess all i’m saying is from a parents perspective, be patient and be kind, they are trying. Thank you MISD!
10 million dollars is a lot for just a hacker thing. Even if they pay they will get the internet back after more then a month at most. I feel like MISD shouldn't pay it, we all know its been a week and other districts like fort worth and dallas paid it but it took more then a month to get it back after they paid it. Even if they paid it this is *important* all of the information is most likely already leaked.
because they literally dont know anything about it…. the hackers are obviously anonymous, they dont know if information is being compromised or stolen, they basically deleted/altered every single technical arrangement and there’s like ZERO way to do anything or know anything without an investigation, which she mentioned, is currently going on. and if they did know more about this issue, they LEGALLY have to tell you what happened, and obviously many people get excited over ‘football fridays’, and she just wanted to end the video in a good note. dingus
considering the fact that anyone with a school chromebook and a usb alongside access to the wifi network can upload anything on it im not sure if i'm supposed to be surprised about this, most likely they'll explain the origin of this issue after the fixes
As a student this has really been annoying I can't check my grades, I can't use my cromebook, and can't request a schedule change. I really hope it doesn't take long to fix this.
Right now MISD can't get to that as they don't have the ability to do anything at this moment as if you say a hacker froze your computer system and you can't use it anymore and you would have to use a system. It will take a while as the hackers want 10 million dollars for the system back. I am also a student and I know that we can't do all of that. I believe most of the teachers are writing out grades for each person so when skyward is back grades will be put in.

Try calling the school transportation dept. Or go directly to your kids school and see if they know. Honestly, unless your kids just started that should've been looked up before school started which was before the cyber attack. Sorry.
