Volleyball Lower Body Workout For Power || Volleyball Concentric Workout To Jump Higher

  • Hello! Today's video is a volleyball lower body workout for power! It's a volleyball concentric workout to jump higher, as we focus on power producing plyometrics such as a banded vertical jump, depth jumps, approach jumps, depth approach jumps, banded approach jumps, etc. The goal is to work on producing massive amounts of power coming from an approach so it's very similar to volleyball game situations. The entire workout is programmed for jump training and to build explosive power that can transfer to the volleyball court. Then we move onto the strength training portion, where it's all concentric focused. We want to improve rate of force development and increase the velocity at which we can move loads. So we do some 1/4 trap bar concentric squats, weighted squat jumps, and accelerated banded jump to get a variation of french contrast training in. Then we do quick barbell RDLs, where you have to load your hips fast and explode up, partnered with a banded broad jump, moving into 1/4 oscillatory RFE split squats and other exercises to work on power producing capabilities. This is a great volleyball strength training workout to improve jump height and power, so I definitely recommend you give it a shot.
