Since 11 years old I have been a fan of Debussy. This piece played by these two have become just about my favourite piano piece. Magical.
Lucas and Arthur, thank you for the immense beauty and joy you bring into the world..you are phenomenal artists.. Thank you.
You are the lights on this dark world right now!
Especially now...
These two never cease to give me joy. They are astonishing musicians
Such a magical connection, these two.
An inspiring demonstration of how beautifully performed music can offer light and hope during these menacing days
Those divine&magical hands of Jussen brothers💞😍
Another exquisite gem! It gives me hope in a time of darkness...thank you for giving us beauty...God Bless you!
Stunning interpretation. The Debussy Epigraphes Antiques are one of my favorite piano 4 hand duets to perform. So sensual.
I've liked Debussy's music for many years, but in any depth. These pieces are as 21st century as we can get. Thanks to the Jussens for opening our minds. More please.
Brilliant.
Bravo !
I've omitted Debussy for some time Thanks for this elegant refresher course. The colours, light, and shade you both provide as you play him, dazzle and excite and resuscitate him for me. Cathy.
Such a delicate touch!!
Thank you so much for uploading. It s amazing as always. Best wishes from the UK
It's beautiful! I'm playing actually this piece !
really gooooooood!! 🥰😘
they make it seem so effortless!
Beautiful 🎶🎶❤🎶🎶
First song is My favourite song 💋
They're great! Just to let you know, they're more accurately called pieces, not songs.
Very interesting. I have always loved Debussy's music and you two certainly have the sensitivity needed to interpret it. Bravi!!
Such a poetic, jazzy, whimsical suite...and so astonishingly beautiful. Thank you for this lovely mini-concert!
Prachtig...
Superb! Bravo! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Interview with Vampire season 1 episode 8 brought me here
👏
Might you brothers ever be open to recording the SONATA FOR TWO PIANOS (1980 rev.1990) by ROBERT SIMPSON?
0:00 - Pour invoquer Pan, dieu du vent d'été ("To invoke Pan, god of the summer wind")
5:28 - Pour que la nuit soit propice ("In order that the night be propitious")
7:29 - Pour la danseuse aux crotales ("For the dancer with crotales")
9:42 - Pour l'égyptienne ("For the Egyptian woman")
13:27 - Pour remercier la pluie au matin ("To thank the morning rain")
Please, please do En Blanc et Noir!!
Anyone else also found echoes of this, especially of the 2nd Épigraphe, in the flute theme of Alien: Covenant?
I didn't think the Dutch would be able to interpret French sensibilities - but this performance proves me wrong..
The brothers do particularly well with French music.
@@stevearnold8467 Yes, and their Poulenc's concerto remains the most achieved of all, even better as those by french interpreters.
You are a music nationalist? "The Dutch"?
@@finosuilleabhain7781 Art and Culture - follows ethnicities
@@thethikboy Not like that they don't. Haitink was a great Debussy conductor, Kyung-Wha Chung a great Stravinsky player, Pollini a fantastic exponent of Chopin, etc., etc., etc. Unless you're talking something as different as the Indian tradition, nothing can be considered out of reach to anyone.
Needs a lot more pp
Is it just me that finds the acoustics a bit harsh here? Like the gain is turned up too high on the microphones.
Probably too high recording level and it is impossible to remove clipping later.
Such a shame a WIX advertisement interrupts right in the middle of a phrase in the first movement.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)
Minutenlang kippenvel!
It’s amazing, but you can hear that the audience is missing - just a lack of energy, responding to the fantastic interpretation...
it was during covid pandemie... I think it is another reason (!) They play as the best one, as usual. I am fond of their way of playing , looking for a pianistic perfection, with serenity and strenth.
