Haitink was a great Debussy conductor, Kyung-Wha Chung a great Stravinsky player, Pollini a fantastic exponent of Chopin, etc., etc., etc. Unless you're talking something as different as the Indian tradition, nothing can be considered out of reach to anyone.

    Is it just me that finds the acoustics a bit harsh here? Like the gain is turned up too high on the microphones.

      Probably too high recording level and it is impossible to remove clipping later.

      it was during covid pandemie... I think it is another reason (!) They play as the best one, as usual. I am fond of their way of playing , looking for a pianistic perfection, with serenity and strenth.
