I saw an interview where Panthers' GM Bill Zito said when he took over the job in 2020, he had ONE criteria for the players he wanted to aquire for his club: are you tough to play against in the playoffs? This guy seems to have built a team that plays like every game is a streetfight. They're 80 grit sandpaper. Comparatively, our B's are Charmin because management has taken them too far from what was needed to make them more of a physical obstacle for the opposition to solve. Sweeney made the colossal goof to keep Gryz over the league's 2024 hit leader in Lauzon. Before training camp, I envisioned a fourth line that could cause problems in Lucic, Beecher and A. J. Greer. Like that older line the Isles have had for years in Clutterbuck, Cizikas and Martin. 17 removed himself from that equation but they waived Greer. Instead at various times this year, we had Anthony Richard, Oscar Steen, Georgii Merkulov, Boqvist on the fourth line. I don't want this to happen but if the Bruins's season ends in Florida on Tuesday, the spotlight of accountability should turn to Sweeney and Neely. They're in a transition year. At 47-20-15, they had a good regular season. They are projected to have oer $20 million in cap space. I'd bet Sweeney and Neely get this summer to see what they do with that money in what I hope 2024/2025 becomes a make or break year for THEM.
Same shit as last year. You guys lose all composure and just start throwing the puck right up the middle and get picked off way too easy. Clear your zone if you have no other option. They’re playing like SHIT.

1 Stanley cup in 50 years of Jacob’s. Our problem starts with the 2 incompetent heads in front office. Neely abd Sweeney! How can we be up against the cap with this roster. Carrying 2 high pad goalies? Why! McAvoy is not a #1 but he is paid like one. New GM and new President……then make major rebuilding moves.
start by scratching zacha. he's invisible except when he's hurting the team with penalties or blind backhand passes across the slot in his defensive zone ( first goal in game 3 ). WTF. every time pastrnak has the puck, there's no help in sight. that's zacha not wanting it. beecher and lauko have both shown themselves to be more reliable and engaged than the all time playoff scoreless zacha. even during the regular season when teams sleep walk through pond hockey games, zacha was still only a 20 goal scorer getting plenty of ice time with one of the game's elite players. the solution isn't juggling fourth liners, coach monty. the solution is getting something out of your top six forwards besides marchand and pastrnak.
And Bruins Montgomery soft. Always crying how the opponent plays dirty. Like his players didn t deliver 70 hits themselves in game 2. Crybaby needs to stop. This is hockey not horseshoes. Get better then. Play as hard as your opponent!
