Do people not understand that we like Draco for more than his looks? I mean obviously that’s what attracted us to him in the first place, but he proved to have such depth as a character. He went through so much and we all sympathize. Yet the woman who wrote him into creation doesn’t understand this? He wasn’t mean, he was broken, pressured, forced. Yeah sure he didn’t have to tease, but he was just trying to impress his father. Ugh, I would take Malfoy over Ron any day. He’s so much more interesting and intelligent. Clearly no one sees Draco like we do.

Draco in the first years at Hogwarts had a choice not to behave like a spoiled brat. Sirius was raised by the Blacks, however he didn't share his family's values and believes. In the end - it is your your own choice that you cannot excuse by the upbringing. I guess girls just like bad boys, however he pretty much resembles King Joffrey from GoT to me. I really dont get why J.K.Rowling doesnt like that we love draco. I honestly dodnt love him in the books as much as i did in the movies but i think thats partly because Tom brings this personality to Draco that we didnt get much of in the books. In the books ot just focuses on his bad qualities but in the movies i find him quite funny and endearing at times. She wanted to make him this bully, this really bad guy but the truth is he jist wasnt. He was misunderstood, broken, conflicted, troubled teenager, and i think what she doesnt get is that the generation that has grown up with Harry Potter are al messed up, troubled, misunderstood, broken, conflicted teenagers. So we understood him in a way that i dont think she was expecting, i think thats why she was upset that we love him so much because deep down we've all kind of known that feeling of being messed up in the head and making the wrong decisions out of fear and peer pressure and uncertainty.

@Joyce Li i think they do understand but in my opinion draco malfoy character is realistic to be honest cause with his background and the way he grew up.. experience make people so while growing up and specially as a teen.. a lot of individuals make bad choices but it matter if they grow out of it or not. So i guess it's hard to dislike a character that one can relate and you find yourself loving a complex character than a simple one who is just good or evil.

Draco threw Harry his wand in the last book and didn't tell the Death Eaters that it was Harry they had brought to Malfoy Manor. After the film, he also settled down with Astoria and raised his son to believe that everyone is equal, turning his back on his family to do so. Him, Harry, Ron and Hermione also became civil with one another, not besties, but they were civil

I first read the books . Draco was my favourite character since the first book , in earlier books i found him really funny but later on i could relate to him in a big way , he was pressured by his family , felt the need to prove himself , he had a feeling that he is not enough , that he is not what he is supossed to be just like me . He showed me that if we want to succed we need to go trough a rough path . And yes when i watched the movies i did instantly fell in love with tom felton and yes i would rather date draco then ron because there is soo much more to him he is intalligent and kind , but he is hiding his true self.

My favourite characters are Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape, not just because of their appearance (Malfoy’s), but because of the interpretation these characters brought up to us fans. I think we need more people like him in different sectors (Hollywood, business, technology, arts, sports and so on) People have to realise that money and fame do not bring the real happiness. I relate so much with Draco with how my parents raised me I felt trapped and forced into things and when I became of age I finally got a mind of my own and started making my own choices. I related to the book version of him and that’s why he is my favorite character.

i feel like when tom said "i have a lot of mixed emotions about the franchise ending. both sadness and excitement" he didn't really mean he didn't want to be in the Harry Potter franchise anymore, but he probably meant that he was excited for the future, not the shooting ending
Tom was a perfect draco. He is adorable I could never hate him he is my favorite harry potter character. And the hottest. He was just a broken soul. Who had problems. But who couldn't love him. If anything I envy umbridge

I’m honestly not sure which Harry Potter character I like best…but I DO like Tom Felton-for his honesty, realism (figuring out that fame for its own sake is empty), humanity (blowing his $3 million), generosity (blowing some of that $3 million on gift cars for family) and surprising wisdom. I once went through $70,000 in two years myself on account of chronic illness so I know how fast money slips away. So I like Tom and wish him well.
He was always more interesting to me than Harry ever was tbh. I’m almost annoyed that she who shall not be named wasn’t happy that people liked him
Not sure how others feel but i like draco for the potential he holds. Only read the first 4 books, but saw all the movies and in halfblood prince, the utter reluctance to follow voldemorts orders, the fear he holds in doing so, and the realisation that its not a game (anymore), gives sooooo much potential for a satisfying redemption arc and i feel like his character was not explored to its full potential.
If he's made a stand in hbp/dh, to reject the way he'd been raised, that would've been sooooo good. Missed oppertunity imo

I absolutely love acting and while it’s so depressing seeing many child or young actors falling apart, I get inspired in two ways. One, to become a successful actress at a young age, two, to prove that it is possible to resist the temptations that Hollywood May provide or encourage like drugs, heavy drinking, scandalous scenes, sex for benefits, etc.

really gotta say, after reading the books just a few weeks ago for thê first time and rewatching iconic scenes i really started to appreciate tom felton, he had great acting skills in the movies and is such a loveable dude, i have to admit i never really knew him or were interested in who he is so i always thought hes a draco irl. ofc not literally but hes such a charismatic ând loveable guy its odd to see him play draco so good
