With the Old World now released I need something else to be over excited about so I've decided to enthuse about the upcoming Warhammer TV series with Amazon Prime and Henry Cavill! But what about the Warhammer movies and shows that have gone before? And just what does the future of Warhammer viewing hold?
Also... I'm going to be doing a podcast! Check out Wargaming Luke and Hobby Waffle's channels at the links below!

Nice vid bud. I completely forgot about Inquisitor 😂 need to watch it again. Also some great cut scene collections from video games too. Some of the best actually.

    Knightmare was an incredible series.
I can't believe you didn't mention the final liberation cut scenes though, to this day I would still love it if they did a reference to commissar Holt

I would have done but I expressly ruled out video game cut scenes because it opened things up far wider than I wanted to look at in this video.

I used to love watching Knightmare, great show and ahead of its time really.

So, a Warhammer painting/kitbashing crafting show, where each week whoever is eliminated is quietly led away by a Commissar...

@@90percentgeek Or perhaps next week, there's a suspciously Brad-shaped servitor handing out the kits.

Great British Warhammerers is a fantastic idea - though you'd need an amazing cameraman to make it work.

And the right presenters, but imagine a different challenge each week, and borrowing ideas from shows like MasterChef Australia so having a mystery box with a limited selection of paints to do a model, or a painting and converting challenge where you have to bid time for minis to use in your conversion.

@@90percentgeek I can tell that you've thought about this a *lot*. Maybe you should write up a proposal?

Games workshops failure to capitalise on games and media for so long is so frustrating, and the insistence on bad CGI in the few attempts they made. All they needed to do in the 90s is contact an Anime team like the guys that did Akira and commission them to make content based on GW IP and it would have been fucking awesome. Its also criminal that its taken till this year for someone to think of doing a RPG Rogue trader CRPG.

An anime as gorgeous as Akira would be amazing, and not beyond the realms of possibility. Certainly the 40K universe lends itself so well to that look and feel. NeoTokyo could absolutely be a world in the Imperium

@@90percentgeek Even better, the dudes that made Fist of the North Star, that style would have suited 40k well. Just go to Japan, give them a crash course on the lore and some art/story direction then tell them to go make stuff. GW can be so short-sighted sometimes, the 90s were a golden age for British computer game development they could have recruited some talent and had their own in house games development team churning out RPGs and strategy games for Amiga and PC.
