I have been teaching this tip for years to my riding students. Funny thing is, for kids, that seems to be one of the things they can’t pick up quickly. I have to show them over and over again until it finally sticks. It seemed like something I just picked up over the years of being a dude wrangler... but doesn’t seem to make sense to those who don’t eat sandwiches in the barn, on the fly, in the middle of the day...😂

Hi Warwick! I love tack tips, they are supper helpful. I have a request for your next tack tip. I have subscribed to your videos and saw you teach a guy how to tie one rain to the horn so it would not fall while he was doing ground work with his horse. Its was in the video of you helping a guy with a horse that would not stand still to be mounted. Thanks!

I do mine completely different. I've never heard of doing it that way.

I have a question, unrelated to this video. How early can you start working your horse? I have a 9 month old warmblood stallion. What kind of things can I do with him now and in the near future?

It's never too early to start groundwork! Just make sure you keep sessions short and be aware of how your horse is doing so that you don't overwork him.

Good tip Warwick! I looked through your posted videos for something on stable/barn tech and layout and didn't find anything. Might be a good series for you. I'm restoring a old stable and was curious what you think is the best thing for stall floors (concrete, asphalt, dirt, crushed stone ,RAP.... rubber mattresses/mats)??? Would love to hear your opinion.
