Well I had to change a Motor at one time too but because the Arm was broken and wouldn't stay in place when I glued it back , I decided to buy the Arm with the Motor and Install it but normally , if the Motor is gone and the Arms are good , just change the Motor ! It is cheaper !!!
I just repaired my DJI MIni 2 drone with this method. Thank you! This guy is a pro so it will take you much longer if you are like me and know nothing and have zero experience. (0:46) Step 1 of removing the panel on the arm took me a half-hour. Be careful! the arm is fragile. You are basically cutting the panel out (1:13) (2:12) Step 2 be very careful cutting the wires. There is a fourth grey wire for the arm LED light you don't want to cut. (1:46) Step 3 Remove round foam under the motor. This foam is highly fragile. I tore my foam (2:33) Soldering. This guy is a pro, but as someone who has never soldered before and bought a soldering iron for this project, this wasn't easy and took me over 2 hours. Make sure you put the heat shrink on the wires before soldering. (I noticed he didn't show the whole process.) I wish I was paying attention and used tweezers like him. These wires are tiny people. Maybe if I had real flux instead of the free hard resin flux from the kit it would have gone better. (4:00) I would suggest testing the motor before closing everything up. I did a test flight and noticed a weird, bad vibration if I put any strain on the motors. I thought the entire replacement project was a failure, but this was because the panel was still off. To put the panel on, you are going to need to use plastic epoxy or super glue, that is why he puts clamps on.
Good evening, the DJI Mini 2 motor rotates in the same direction!?! or does each motor rotate in such a direction as each arm? I'm about to replace two engines in my Mini 2, Yes Brazil
@@user-cs7fy6ky9c
I did the same Repair to one of my Mini-2 's last couple Months and it is flying nice again ! There are three Mini-2's in my Arsenal and i fly the heck of them !!!😂
I am not sure if all motors are the same but opposite motors (same prop rotation) are the same. I also used a Front motor. But I have the theory that all motors are the same and they only change the wiring for 2 of them in order to get the CW and CCW rotation.
Where can I get just a new motor and not whole arm? First time trying to fly it inside and it kept drifting off to the side and slightly bumped into the wall and auto shut off (error: motor unable to spin) flee it seemingly fine outside after that. But today I flew it again and when hovering or moving slowly it looks like it's losing torque every second or so as u can see the whole drone slightly and quickly tilting
I got my motors from an already used Mavic Mini. You can find plenty of this broken arms with an old motor attached that still runs even and smoothly and will otherwise end up in the trash. But there are also some (for example "Chinese") sellers, who offer you the motor only, for around 10 dollars each. Did you change your propellers after the crash?
@@diyirlrpg I don't think so, provided the accident actually happened on soft ground. However, check that the motors are still running smoothly and recalibrate the sensors on a flat surface. That might help
FINALLY SOMEONE SHOWING A MOTOR REPLACEMENT AND NOT A WHOLE ARM REPLACEMENT

@@FUMACADRONES the motors are just motors.. (no left of right) the drone controls the direction they turn

Very helpful .... Same problem happen with my mavic mini..... Thankyou for this video ....
What size is the shrink tube?

I have a probelm with my dji mini2
( power system hardware error ? Will u help me to solve pls ?
Hi I got mine sparky in the front engine… is it the same issue?
Thanks for this! Are all the motors the same? Does it matter if i buy a back one for a front arm?

Mavic Air 2s would be the same way just change the motor not the whole arm?
Thanks for share!
which motor[model] did you use to replace the drone motor?
Hey what are the clamps at the end for
I applied glue to the foam. The clamps should hold the foam in place and apply the necessary pressure

I have exactly the same issue with my Mini SE.
Why is this done? A faulty motor?
I presume it is dangerous...
The motor was not running smoth, that's the reason for the replacement.
I see. Do you know the reason this is happening?

What do you mean? The solder iron?
@@technico5880 I thinks so, is it the like little metal pen to cut the wires?
@@mr.existential3797 I think you mean the knife, it's a simple knife, not heated to remove the isolation
