Thanks very much. Clear, concise and well illustrated. Has helped me prepare for my canal boat trip on Oxford Canal. Cheers

Very good video. I’ve not long been living in U.K coming from Australia and a life on a canal boat looks perfect for me. In Australia we have to do what they call a “recreational skippers ticket.” If we want to use a boat in the ocean or in rivers. Is there a course you can do in UK for narrow boats and safe operation of locks?

Why do you empty the bottom lock and leave the gates open? Surely a boat could just as easily be coming the other way first no??

If it floats, there's no reason why it shouldn't travel the canals, and locks.
      Anything to report since 2023?
