YOU. ARE. A. LIFESAVER. I have been troubleshooting for. Good lord, apparently four hours today and I know I had to do a workaround like this last time. My home videos are coming home, and that's going to mean a lot to my relatives--one of the major players is missed greatly. I bought this piece of crap about three years ago and have never got it working. It seems 99% of people that bought it have never actually used it.
After months of struggling trying to find a program that works being frustrated this one did the trick! I cant thank you enough!!!
May have figured out the Windows 11 issue. After you go to Sounds Settings, scroll down to Advanced, and then click on More Sound Settings. Then you will get the box seen in this video and hopefully be fine from there. Hope this helps someone. Great video and great fix by the way!
Gosh, thank you so much for posting this. I've been going through such a nightmare of trying to capture my N64 and tried PotPlayer and VLC before this, and both gave me issues of one kind or another. But now there's clear audio, and video, and I can play with no lag... Thank you so so much.
super helpful, everything is falling into place so i can stream gameboy advance pokémon games. going to use gameboy player for gamecube, got the disc, a nes controller w nes to gameboy adapter, and now i need the capture card and i’ll be good! thank you

thank you! I was looking up how to stream/record retro games with different cables and converter boxes and found the best rated one was about $130! so this is alot cheaper alternative
Actually your best bet is an Elgato HD60S+ like I use, then just buy an AV to HDMI convertor box and your set.

For me the audio worked out of the box. My problem is that I can not find a way to switch to the S-Video input, so this did not help me.
2:19 How did you get BandiCam to recognize the device AV to USB 2.0? It just crashes for me when trying to connect to the device. It will work with OBS directly on another Win10 machine, just not my main rig.
when i clicked on sound control panel, the av to USB microphone option is not there. how do I proceed from there?

Has anyone ever managed to get this working with Windows 11? It worked okay with Windows 10 but then I replaced my laptop and it came with Windows 11. Software installs okay, but when actual device plugged into USB port, it doesn't appear to install the driver (you just hear the usual beep when something's plugged into the USB port), although it does show in Device Manager and it says it's working. I can't go back to the Windows 10 laptop as sold it to help fund the new purchase.

Wait, so how accurate is the audio synced if you hook the cables up to an actual crt monitor without its audio ports..?
I have old home made videos that I am trying to digitilize, when I watch them live on my laptop they are fine, but when I try to watch the saved file then 3 quarters of the screen vertically is a green block, can only see a snip of the side of the video?
I am using Windows 11 and it looks like you used Windows 10. Sounds setting set up differently and not sure if I can figure it out. Do you know what to change in Windows 11? Thanks!
The scrolling interference in the video capture during gameplay, is that eliminated using s-video instead of composite?

in device selection i can see my AV 2.0 device but when i open format window it’s blank.. i cannot select any format …
solved it… by going to windows settings and under video-webcam settings i had to turn on the “allow apps to use webcam” button….

My video sounds like it has double audio. The person will talk then like a few seconds later you will hear the same thing repeated like an echo. How do you fix that?

Hi there, not sure if ill get a response but its worth asking. ive got the exact same capture device as you but when i plug it into a usb slot on my computer it comes up as USB video not AV to USB 2.0, because of this there is no video output, its just a black screen. i cant tell if this is a problem with my camcorder or the capture device. would you know anything about that?
Plug in just the av to usb device and see what your pc detects it as.
I believe my product to be faulty, it’s detected as USB video yet no video is detected and the noise is drowned out by a painful static

I only have 25 fps does it have to do with my AV capturing device?

Yes I stopped using this thing as fast as possible now i use and AV to hdmi box that links into an elgato hd60s+

I have the exact opposite problem. I do get audio but no video. I am pretty sure it some sort of windows settings problem regarding input video. Does anybody know how to make changes on that. Or how to fix that? Not matter how many software I try out the problem stays the same.
Doubtful, sorry but when you hit reset on any console it has a brief period where there's no signal being sent, so any device will lose signal during that time.
@@2DownGaming it worked with the windows usb camera app but not with the software they sent with

That sounds absolutely terrible Roland I can't imagine having it the other way round the program that I got with my purchase was wrong but I wasn't really to bothered about it. At least I have the video working and hearing it but it's during the recording that the audio out of nowhere doesn't get captured, the only way it does is if I use audacity. Thank you @2DownGaming for that advice I'll try it and who knows it might even be a solution over here.:-)
My other clue is use the "ezcap driver" (it might not be safe though and incompatible with the hardware that we got)
The other idea is to obviously getting a codec like FFmpeg which is supposed to fix it with the appropriate version.
Last clue is using outdated software which is in the same year range as the videograbber (I call it that)

Yes,you can use Bandicam to see the screen(no need to record vídeo)
Can this be used to hook up secondary monitor in a car?
I don't think so, it's not used as a display for extra monitors or anything, it takes what you connect to the AV end and pushes it to usb.

Myself, i have windows 10... when i first installed it it worked great.. i was able to record a few videos into digital.. then suddenly it stopped working... NO VIDEO WOULD SHOW ON SCREEN... no fix
