My teacher took 2 business days to explain us this still he cant, you did it in 100 seconds
nothing personal, your teacher sucks, get more web help
@@yt-sh thats what i did
Maybe the teacher lay the initial foundation and this video was the final piece.
@@jasoncheng4250 this
At least your teacher would explain github features to you ... Mine does not even know what a repo is
I don't understand why people cannot make simple videos like this one. Straight to the point and no jargons! Again, STRAIGHT to the point ! Thank you sir !
Most videos provide excellent info ... but I would say the beauty of videos like this is that they focus on concepts so a newbie knows where to place the information they get.
Thanks! Great job on making this short an concise. I submitted my first pull request ( and first meaningful contribution) to a repo with your help👍
I don't know if anyone used this expression in these sort of context but this was yummy
You're killing it man with these 100sec videos, so much effort crammed into putting that short clip together, appreciate these concise refreshers. Keep them coming!
I just started working as Junior Dev, these are so helpful! Thank you!
Just did my first contribution all thanks to you. Keep making these short videos.
First try on using github and dont know how to pull request. Thank you for your explaination, clear and straight to point.
I'm loving your 100 seconds series. Waiting for more advance topics like rebase, merge, conflict.
Stickers ship worldwide, but make sure to get your pull request in ASAP, supplies are limited! UPDATE, Wow 200+ PRs have already been submitted, I will attempt to ship out regular fireship stickers when the holograms run out.
and i saw this video some hours ago told myself its 100seconds you can watch it anytime and now the opportunity is gone no more stickers.
@@mohamudsharif8119 I ordered more! There is still time to submit.
@@Fireship I hope I won
Gone in under an hour, I really need to enable push notifications for your channel... 🙃 Hope there may be a third opportunity in the future, missed the first one from a year ago or so as well.
I did it 8 hours ago so I I was around 240 hope I got it
I like your video style a lot. Either 100 seconds where you briefly explain everything, or 10 minute videos that go into more detail. You're inspiring, but I sadly lack motivation.
Yeah, great video. I really love your 100sec. vids! Pull request already submitted xD
These videos are so well made. Keep up the amazing work mate.
Short, to the point and with gifts! Great work!... This is really nice
Killer content! Loving this format of a short video + longer example.
Think I managed to get my pull request in just in time! Hope I get a sticker! Thanks for doing this (:
The first time I am mad at the youtube algorithm for not recommending me a video earlier!!!! Why did I just now get the video
simple and straight to the point.
No much talk
This is everything I wanted to know about GitHub for the past few years.
Best course in 100 seconds. Learned a ton.
Brilliant! Saw so many videos of more than 10 minutes.. but this is make it clear in seconds.. 👌🏻👍🏻
🔥🔥 Really loving this 100s series.
2 VIDEOS IN 24 HOURS!!!🤩🙌🏾🔥❗
Oh wow, I think that's a record for me.
This was awesome ,just learnt in 100 seconds and already made a pull request
patiently waiting for that future video about git-rebase 🤩
Thank you, always wondered how I could contribute to existing repo's, have been noticing (and locally fixing) some bugs of my favorite repository. 😄
You are saving my career 1 video at a time.
jeez, that was quick, full truck of thanks to you.
Dude I have been looking into how and why pull requests r used and I gotta this is it all my questions answered in 100 seconds
i enjoyed this 100 seconds so much, thanks a lot
THIS is what people need to do, lol. I have ADHD and this was a PERFECT chunk of time for someone like me. THANK YOU SO MUCHHH!!!!!!
The fact that you are instructing people how to contribute to your repo..but I was searching for a general instructions to push and pull and so on.. and difinately you got my ass .
Okay, this type of content is so useful for all of us. My content still doesn't have any videos regarding Git, but i should do at least crash course. Did you plan more on videos regarding Git? Thanks!
Awesome last video tip, looking forward for that rebase video
Straight no-nonsense tutorial.

20hr of concept got crystal cleared in 💯 sec.
Cool, Finger Crossed. Hoping you have more than 574 sticker packs, Mine is PR #574. Well I have never seen such a to-point tutorial in 100sec.
Nicely explained!
LOVE THIS CONTENT!
Thanks! I was #199!
I wish CZcams had a superlike button for videos like this
What is the difference between forking a repo and cloning it? Which one is preferable?
Thank you Fireship, I like this new way of teaching and also #ilikefreestuff
fckin hell, its crazy you really did it on 100 seconds.
I'd very much like a video on rebase 🙌🏼
Great video again
That gif is so on point.
Waiting for the git rebase video :D
Jeff is still my favourite tech youtuber
Really helped out
waiting for the video about rebase :)
You guys are fast 💨💨
Great video! ;)
Pull request is interesting. I was thinking all this time that git pull and pull request are the same
It is a confusing name IMO, it should be "merge request" (that's what gitlab calls them).
You could use Github Desktop which is easier than command line
This is good time that I have invested here
great content!
Are stickers still available ? Recently I've been started learning Github and now i come to this point i.e pull request so if i submit pull request now as this video is 4 year old will i get sticker too ?
This was soo good 🎊
rly nice video :)
Amazing!
THANK YOU
I don't even want a sticker I'm just happy I learned something
That's a very interesting way to make a giveaway
Since its short video,its fast paced and is needed to be fast too. But it would have been better with captions. BTW gr* video, keep doing it.
Is it not possible to create a new pull request from the CLI?
Greetings from Perú, I hope my pull request make it to the final cut
Awesome 😍
so how do I do these for non-coding github projects without commands?
u should make avid for fork too!
Awesome videos
Can somebody explain me 1 thing? There is a command "git pull" when you want to update your local branch with changes from same branch in origin. And there is a "pull request" when you want to add your changes in some origin branch. So in the first case we are actually downloading code and in the second case we are kind of "uploading" our code. It is confusing that both this actions are called "pull", isn't it? Why they didn't call it "push request" for example?:)
```git pull``` isn't just about fetching a branch, but also merging it with something else.
So you're requesting the current repo owner to fetch your changes and merge them with the master branch. You're requesting that they pull.
Still I agree that the name is terrible - what you're really requesting theym to do is to Merge. The fetching/pulling is secondary.
Gitlab calls this a Merge Request and it's far better.
What happened to the video you said you were making about git rebase?
Fireship can u create a desktop app with electron using python as a backend??
"git checkout -b newbranch" and save 1 command :)
Awwww Shooo Sweeet of you!
We need more 100 seconds videos. Great content👏
I've signed a contract for 100 episodes this year (with myself)
@@Fireship learning from you 💯%
