In 1997, I made my first trip to Deshler and Fostoria, Ohio. This was also my first rail-fan adventure with my new Hi-8 camcorder that I had had gotten the Christmas before.
It is interesting to note some of the changes to railroad technology since this was recorded. Note all the overhead wires and poles that don't exist any more. Some of the signals that have been upgraded. The tall radio tower that was erected nearby which has satellite connectivity for comms and positive train control, etc.
I mean, you could go all over that field, and you could get some nice camera angles, now they have limited that space down. I was only there once before the railpark was put in place.

I liked Fostoria Ohio before the railpark was put in place
It was better in someways before the park was built, I have to agree.
