- Thomas and Robbe review the New Balance More Trail v3, a monster truck of a shoe, featuring gigantic 5 mm Vibram lugs, a massive 40 mm stack height and a wide base. It's a bit heavy, but it's surprisingly stable and very comfortable. This is a long haul trucker ready to go cross country. Available now for $160.

I wouldn't call myself an avid trail runner, but the More Trail v2 is hands down the best dog walking shoe I've ever owned. I thought it was Hoka Bondi, turns out this is even more comfortable and sturdy, and better in the woods. I'm definitely picking up a pair of these when I retire the v2 soon. I walk the dog a lot more than I run, at least two hours a day vs. 2-3 times per week, so I feel that the cost is more than justified.
The Bondi has some cheap basic EVA foam. The Fresh Foam in New Balance is just so much better too.
Haven't seen any shoe reviewers mentioning this: The pull tab on More Trail v3 also serves the purpose of keeping laces in place. Once you tie the laces, the pull tab would be separated into 2 sections. You pull the lower section loose and tuck the laces under. Then you pull the upper section so the lower section of the pull tab tightens down and holds the laces securely. Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GTX also has this design.
Now that is how to review a shoe ! Thanks guys !
4K looks slick in your vids!
yeah that bigger toe box though SOLVED my only gripe with this shoe cause i always got blisters on my medial side forefoot from the last version. but even the last version was so comfy i just kept running on it.
As mentioned around 4:40, one of the most distinctive things about the "More" is the extremely wide outsole platform. This might require a bit of mental re-adjustment regarding your choice of foot placement in narrow terrain. No surprise, but the wide outsole won't fit a tiny crevice quite the same way as your narrow alternatives might.
True true, but the upside is that it's quite stable for a highly cushioned shoe
Tested it for a couple of weeks now, and it is awesome. It just doesn’t work in technical terrain at all, but that was as expected. Perfect for long trail runs where you know you won’t go too hard.
Too bad they dont have the goretex version for this shoes..the hierro V7 is not as comfortable as this one
A BTS against the Trabuco Max 2 or the Caldera 6
I bought these one before i started my Running journey.. at the moment i use them at the gym and the Nike invincible run 2 for Road… been using the Nike for about 60 Miles and im having a little suspicion that they might be a bit too narrow and unstable.. would you recon the more trail would give me a bit more stable ride? (I could ofc just try, wash and take Them back to the gym if i dont feel a difference) they feel really good on the threadmill
This or the Endorphin Edge? Seems both of them have stability issue in technical terrain
Feel in the heel between the pontoons, please New Balance
Visiting Canada BC in summer (banff,Jasper, Vancouver island) and thinking about a one shoe that can do it all for hiking, running (trail and road) and strolling. Would this be an option or are there more suitable options out there?
Yep
Hi! I have a very weird foot/gait composition. I have wide and flat feet but also supinate; I'm doing exercises to help correct it as well. I really want to get into running but finding shoes is very difficult for me. I've done my fair share of research and know that I should be getting neutral shoes and ideally max cushion because of my supination.I honestly want a road-to-trail shoe because of how expensive running shoes are, I would like to be confident in being able to use them wherever I go. Would you say that the Fresh Foam X More Trail v3 is better as a road-to-trail shoe as compared to the Trabuco Max 2? Or should I just get a road shoe? Sorry for the ramble and thanks for the video!
You should get orthotics before anything
I am training for a half and a full marathon and I need a shoe that I can use for easy long runs as I train using 80/20 HR zone training. I have lots of local forrests in my area , mostly flat off road. Would this one or the trabuco be a good option?
I’d try them both on and see which feels better on foot. They are both fantastic shoes.
Love this colorway. Too bad it's nowhere to be found now. The placement of the darker green makes the huge midsole less clown-shoe-like visually. None of the current colorway offereings does this anymore. Such a pity.
What is the price range of this sneaker(New Balance)??😊

These bottom out in the heel just like the road version
After how many miles does this happen? TY
@@4Bobayabout 50-100 miles, not worth the money
Good morning. Like for Thomas and Robbe. I don't like big max cushion. Now, i have Brooks cascadia 16 to trailrunning. A nice day for everyone. 🏔️🏃🌞
This shoe seems way too much for the trail. People will love it I'm sure because it's going to be so dead for ground contact feel. The NB summit unknown is the shoe to get for the trails.
Definitely not much ground feel, but loads of comfort. Excited to test the Supercomp Trail, should be a ripper
is the uper breathable? the road version is hotter than hell🥵🥵🥵
About the same level
