ATACMS are Ripping Apart Russian Forces

  • The helicopter crash site of Iran's President has been found and there were no survivors. ATACMS continue to strike Russia's highest value targets in the occupied territories and there is nothing Russia can do to defend itself aside from retreat forces and assets back to their own country. Given Russia's attempt to exploit the West's rule of not using Western weapons on Russian territory, there might soon be a policy change given Russia's tactics in Kharkiv.

Mr Snyder's projection is quite doubtful. the Czechs fighting back is one thing, but who would have helped the Czechs? not Poland in 1938. the Germans defeated France in 6 weeks and Poland in about the same time. how long could the Czechs have lasted? and the US certainly wouldn't have helped. they were reluctant to help the British after their beating at Dunkirk. maybe, just maybe the Germans wouldn't have attacked Poland in 1939 if the Czechs had given them a headache. maybe that is Mr Snyders line of thinking.

You can visit many refurbished and preserved fortresses in the border regions in Czechia, that were build to resist Hitler. Vast defence lines with their own logistics. They were never used, they were just given out without a single shot. Witnessing the amount of work that went into this and came out completely in vain and most of all the failed potential is brutal... Humanity said "never more". Ok, so never appease dictators then. It never works and always backfires.

My father was a young man in Czechoslovakia in 1938. They way he tells it he knew Czechoslovakia could not resist Germany. Don't forget that Germany was in cahoots with Russia at the time so that would be a lot to take on. His solution to the problem was to leave Czechoslovakia go to England and join the British army so that he could fight Germany from the other side. Sadly after returning to Czechoslovakia, with his new English wife, after the war he soon found his hoes of building a life there ruined by the take over by Russia. Ultimately he had to escape Czechoslovakia by hiding himself in a coal wagon of a goods train into Germany.

Which I do agree with to an extent, because they carved up Germany to suit their needs and gave regions that considered themselves German to other countries. The borders of post-soviet Russia were made by the people living in the USSR. It fell apart from inside. No outside powers dictating where the borders will be, opposing the populations opinion.
That being said, the tactics Russia is using absolutly mirror those of Nazi Germany in 1938 and are no more justified than 80 years ago

Really, I don't think it's meant as blackmailing. It was a policy that was set to get the wider Western public on board. Everyone was afraid of starting a third world war, so in order to get the public on board with sending weapons to Ukraine, this rule was set up. Now, things have changed, and the policy needs to be reviewed - and will probably be modified. Just regular bureaucracy and policy-making inertia, and making sure they get the people with them on policy matters, not blackmailing...

The original policy would have been set to avoid a direct conflict between the West and Russia, leading to a major war, even, possibility a nuclear war. Well, we do have a major regional war, now. Targeting Russia’s leaders and broadly speak indigenous military installations is becoming more and more a legitimate response by Ukraine, but extremely risky. Nonetheless, maybe it is time for Ukraine to strike at military sites and land operations limited to 100 kilometres into Russia?

Hi Jake. That's child's comment reminded me of the story of two friends walking on a beach full of starfish, all drying out and dying. One man stops, bends down, and picks up a starfish. He looks at it and then throws it back into the sea and safety. "Why did you do that?", asks his friend, looking around, "What does it matter?" The man replied "It mattered to that starfish!". Every life is important. I was a volunteer traffic police officer and I've seen 16 people working together to get one person out of a crashed car - his life mattered and that's the difference between us and Russia and that is why they will ultimately lose! You mean 'launch systems' can't be deployed beyond the borders. If Russia keeps their kids/weapons on their side of the fence, we'll keep ours on our side, too.
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen, and Russia will just bleed Ukraine dry because they can and will lose as many people as they want to and still win. Biz, as usual, for Russia. They did the same with WWII Germany.
Unless at some point in the not to distant future, if the West doesn't start freeing up rear area Ukrainians to go to the front with their people that's exactly Putins' game plan. J. Stalin vs. Hitler, version 2.0.
You know it was the same with Japan in WWII. They didn't care about how many they lost, same as N. Vietnam because they know civilized Western countries care about our people and won't stand for a huge loss in people and no end in sight. So it's either spit (algorithms) or get off the pot!

@mehamran. Going back in time, centuries actually ancient Persia was the cradle of prosperity, science, trading and progress among other good things in the ME. Oil was an advancement for your country but also set the stage for its downfall because of the greed and corruption that came from within and without.
Also, it became a strategic place for both the eastern & western powers and that has led to your people's downfall and allowed the Islamist fanatics to take over.
I had the pleasure last year of setting next to an Iranian on a flight from San Francisco to Phoenix AZ. We chatted the whole way and before we parted ways in Phoenix he thanked me for understanding your country and a good part of your people. That doesn't include the followers of your Islamist fanatics that are in the Republican Guard and other radical brainwashed idiots that would wax their own citizens w/o reason if their leaders told them to do so as they do now. My only hope is that one day you'll be able to free yourself from under their power and once again, rejoin the civilized world.
I don't as I told my seat mate I don't call you "arabs" because you're not. You're Persians and that's something to be proud of, your heritage. But as long as you have those religious fanatics in charge your country will be an enemy of the west and the 'free world'.

Pete really is an incredible human being. His selfless help to Ukraine and his emotional pleas for help for Ukraine are genuinely moving. I made a small donation to his Project Konstanting organisation, I hope this will alleviate at least a little bit of stress for him. I wish I could afford to donate more.
Thanks for all your work Jake. And thanks to everyone who is watching this channel and cares about Ukraine.

So frustrating! As an American with a degree in history, i am furious at the powers that be 🤬 I feel terrible for Ukraine. Glory to the heroes 🙏🏻🇺🇦🙏🏻 and have mercy on all our souls... except putler and his war machine.

@mani: Didn't you know they no longer teach history to any meaningful extent in the US anymore?

Winston Churchill said, 'America normally comes to the right decision, but only when they have exhausted all other possibilities'. Still as true today as it was in WW2

The difference is you have been educated, the others (MAGA) probably went to Trump's university!

I've emailed the White House voicing my support for eliminating restrictions on where and how Ukraine uses donated weaponry and munitions. Ukraine needs to make the tactical and strategic decisions regarding how best to defend themselves from Russia's invasion of Ukrainian territory.

It sounded like the messaging changed to me in the last Antony Blinken statement I heard which is promising. They’re now trying to say they don’t encourage it but it’s within Ukraine’s rights to defend itself however way they decide. Strategic ambiguity is what our side prefers, so saying Ukraine is allowed to attack Russian territory with western weapons breaks away from that model, but I think they’ll have to. Ukraine is being so good about doing everything they can to not lose western support that they won’t risk losing it by making a move like that without direct permission. Major props to the Ukrainians there. They are exceptional.
