It would help a lot of older generations if the minimum CPF for retirement can be reduced tremendously so that they can withdraw the balance to ease their daily lives. Why is the PAP government holding such big amount in their CPF ? Of course PAP minister don't feel the pinch because their salaries is over one million a year. These older generations in the lower income group don't even make a million in their lifetime. Hope PSP can fight for these unfortunate people.
The govt should not retain a single cent of our retirement money when we reach 55 years old.
They hoard the people's cpf monies to continue paying themselves worlds highest salaries, with up to 8 months bonus!

If our HDB is fully paid, the PAP has no reasons to refrain us from withdrawing all our balances in our CPF for retirement because it's our blood, sweats and tears money !!!!
Yes correct i aready fully paid my hdb flat n im now 64 n my health is not good n have to work they sud let us withdraw our full cpf balance

cpf savings was promised by lky to be returned upon 55, without condition like the pioneer generation and all. by segregating them into many categories including cpf life and brs, there is practically nothing to withdraw and also never enuf to buy HDB flat based on current mandate which is viciously calculating and manipulative. had we , upon 55, withdrawn all the sums and deposit half into commercial banks, we generate interest income instead of paying out thousand $ premiums to cpf life yearly and also let a grand sum of brs sitting in gov coffers , while we struggle with age, homeless and poverty. to sum up, cpf savings are our saved salaries for retirement, how the govt use the funds for investments, they ought to be returned all in liquid form to the citizens upon 55.

if funds are returned, the merdeka generation do not require any govt handouts.
555 995; true! They could always assigned optional financial counseling upon withdrawal of cpf monies if they truly believe that all Singaporeans are financially blind. As Mr K Shanmugam had said recently that Sg have 1 the highest graduates & professionals bcos of our education system which I believe would have taught them adequately on how to spend their 💰 wisely. What was the percentage of those who squandered their cpf monies & end up on welfare during retirement compared to those on welfare b4 retirement pls mr govt? It’s no longer the end justifies the means but rather their ends justify their means.
As minority 99% of job interviews HR were Chinese Singaporeans and always was told I was overqualified but lack mandarin which is needed to liaise with China. These are ang Moh companies so where the soul. Minority should never be refused job esp where English is language of administration. It's sad in our country touted as multiracial society yet even our ministers use words such as majority and minority in the same sentence. Why call us Singaporeans but still have divisions in CDAC, Mendaki, Sinda? Should this not b we just one nation fund? I saw a primary student kicked out twice by the principal of one of these bodies because her father was of another ethinicity and she was told to go to that body. At top we appear as one nation touting minorities are treated fairly but at ground level treated like 3rd class citizens
