📊 *HOW DID THIS WORK?* in this video I’ll present you the eurovision 2024 results if they were determined by the UEFA euro 2024 final ranking! I know it’s a complete different video but why not bringing something new? 🤪 ⚠️ *just a small correction:* 🇩🇪 germany lost 2-1 in the quarter-finals to spain and not to france!! ➡️ there were 6 different phases at the UEFA Euro 2024, where national teams were eliminated ❌ in each phase until we got to the winner!🏅 1️⃣ the first phase was the *qualification round + play-offs:* all countries competed to get a spot at the euro. the countries that failed to qualify were eliminated and I ranked them from worst to the best based on the points made in this phase. in case of a points tie, the country with the most wins (or least defeats) gets the higher place. 2️⃣ the second phase were the *stage groups:* the remaining countries were allocated to different groups of 4 teams each, where 2 (or sometimes 3) of them passed to the next phase. again, to the countries that didn’t qualify ❌ to the next round I ranked them from the lowest to the highest based on the amount of points made in this phase (in case of tie the country with the most goals ⚽️ gets the higher place) 3️⃣ the third phase was the *round of 16*: also known as the knockouts, all teams were drawn to compete against another one, where the country that wins the match qualifies to the next phase. the eliminated teams were ranked from lowest to highest based on the amount goals suffered and scored! 📊 4️⃣ the fourth phase were the *quarter finals:* once again the knockouts continue and all teams try to eliminate the one they’re playing against. the countries that lost were, once again, ranked from lowest to highest based on the amount goals suffered and scored. in case of tie, the team with most goals at the whole Euro gets the higher spot. 5️⃣ the fitfth phase were the *semi finals:* the remaining 4 teams competed for the 2 spots at the grand final. 2 countries lost, coming 4th and 3rd and once again ranked based on the amount goals suffered and scored. as there was a tie, the team with most goals at the whole Euro got the 3rd place. 6️⃣…and finally the last phase was the *GRAND FINAL!* 🏆 the two remaining countries competed against each other and the winner of this match got the eurovision 2024 trophy! Remember when Portugal won Euro 2016, they got a shock ESC win in 2017 (nobody saw it coming in 2016). Also, after Greece won Euro 2004, they won ESC 2005! Maybe Spain will do the same! Italy also won the Euros shortly after winning ESC 2021!
