I've spent $7k (60+ bottles) on colognes, sold most and gave away a few, then rebought some just to remind myself of the smell, then later sold again, I have only 2 fragrances now.
Went to buy infrared edp a couple of days ago but it wasn't out, sp it was a sign to me. I was considering buying this, but I think buying a sample to me will be alot better from my experience.
I love the ease of using Layton for an every event fragrance from early autumn to mid spring evenings. Layton Exclusif is a much darker fragrance that performs exceptionally well from a cooler mid fall to cooler early spring. However, I love the complexity of Layton Exclusif over the original Layton, but for some reason my wife says that it’s just “alright”. She likes the original Layton on me better.
I been wearing both for a few years now and I still love them both. Them women in my life still remember and bring it up.

Tried Layton Exclusif in Puerto Banus, Spain last month in a perfume store.. 1 spray on the wrist in the afternoon and it survived a hot tub session and a shower that evening, I could still smell it on my wrist 24hrs later… it is truly a powerhouse.
Exclusif all day! I even bought a second bottle!

First of all love you're content. I bought Layton first and loved it so since I love Oud fragrances, I decided to buy Layton Exclusive and love it also and I also smell more apple in the Exclusive besides the darker smell. Glad I made these purchases.
My husband's world was changed by Layton Exclusif! 😄 It's his 1st niche brand and he absolutely *loves* it. Great comparison vid!
Just bought exclusif, man it’s so good. It’s funny how your taste change with time, when I first got into fragrances Exclusif was too animalic to me, and now I prefer it over Layton and that was my favorite fragrance when I first got into this hobby.
PDM in general just works. Anytime I’m not sure what I want to wear, there is always one from PDM that I can easily pick.

Love Layton, Exclusif is good too, definitely darker it has its place. Although I truuuly love Pegasus Exclusif more than Layton Exclusif.

You are one of the best perfume commentators. One suggestion from me would be when you make review, do remember that it is watched across the globe and the weather esp from Middle East to south east Asia is real hot and hence global reviews. I own Exclusif and I can only use it for two months in a year in India :)
For me Layton exclusif is much more potent, so it's only for dressed up situation, that's why I got 75ml. Whereas the original Layton is much more casual, and can be worn on multiple situations. That's why I got 125ml for regular one, instead of buying another Layton, I got tommy Hilfiger impact intense, which is high quality and smells 95% same.
idk if it is because of the oud but exclusif gives me weird bug spray vibes. idk how to explain it. I love Layton EDP though.
Have and love both but I'd go with Exclusif because it hasn't been Mass cloned yet to my knowledge.

The Exlusif to me has some Amouage Overture tones to it, which I don't particularly like. I'll go for the 'Normal' Layton. Have both in a 75ml bottle...
They’re both spectacular, and imo worth owning both. They’re not redundant. Layton more daytime, most of the year, except high heat. Layton Exclusif colder weather or evening and late night. It’s hard to say which I prefer, but if I could only own one it would be Layton Exclusif. It’s so well done. I’d use the over used term “masterpiece “. Aptly used in this case.
I have both and genuinely can’t tell the difference. So similar that I’m considering that maybe I actually just have the original Layton in the Exclusif bottle.

Amouage Opus XV King Blue is so good. There is nothing “blue” about it. It is a straight up funky Oud, without the smokiness and harshness of Silver Oud. It is a beautiful scent. You will love it!

I have to always put this disclaimer up lol. Layton is and always will be my favorite fragrance of all times. It's my 2nd niche bottle purchase, I had a sample of exclusif first so it like a blind bought Layton lmao. But with that said I'll reach for Exclusif if I'm going to something special or trying to get notice, and I'll wear the OG more of an signature scent

Layton is definitely more pleasant and wholesome. On the other hand LA resembles Montale Wild Aoud, nothing special

Layton has insane performance on my skin, 12+ hours easily. Like, if I spray it on in the afternoon, I can still smell it the next morning and it only stops after I shower to go to work.

PARFUMS DE MARLY LAYTON lost its durability and projection after changing the alcohol from 78% to 82%! Durability: approximately 6 hours. and the screening lasts about 2 hours. that's a joke for a lot of money :

Please don't let that deter you. It is the best note for projection, and EVERY fragrance has roughly 50% synthetic notes, ALOT are mainly synthetic. It's dark, smoky and blended. If there's 6 or 7 notes, amd civet is one, sure that might not be for you. But LAYTON made smokey and dark? Absolutely 😊 this is coming from a Pegasus head. Pegasus is their best imo, but I love Layton exclu as well.
