I do something similar to this but I make the roads 5 blocks long for each lane instead of 3 so that when you build cars on them they fit better :) also, congrats on the Subs!!

I am going to build a city as well. But it is going to be unique in that the only buildings in the city will be classical skyscrapers and buildings. Art deco, victorian buildings and some art deco and classical buildings that were only proposals and were never built. It will be a city that includes every example of art deco and early skyscraper that I come accross and will be beautiful. The only rule is no modern buildings, everything else goes, including buildings like the tower of the soviets or even the singer tower. Every good example of classical/ traditional architecture will be included. Other than having old looking buildings, and having very ornate roads and parks, it will function as any other city would. It is a fan of traditional architectures dream. Like a "what if modern architecture and art" never happened. It will even include great buildings you never heard of. It is going to be dope and probably the most beautiful city ever created in minecraft. I might post some youtube videos about it when I get it started. Can't wait!
If you put a sea lantern on the road and place carpets over it you’ll not see the sea lantern but at night it will still light up the area
