So so good! I think it's wonderful that these award shows and recognition shows exist to bring young talent into a public spotlight. Some of these young people may never make it to NYC or LA without the assistance of programs like these!
this was the most rewarding, fantastic experience of my life and I’ll miss these amazing performers SO MUCH!

I feel they were both robbed of showing off their amazing talents! I wish they were able to do a piece in the male/female medleys! I found them thru their school’s musical vlogs, I have a musical theater crazed 14 yo daughter & am rooting for Olivia to return to the Jimmy’s in the coming years & perform her songs from Ghost, Miss Saigon, or Titanic! I just Haley Dortch in Les Mis, the US national tour. Ive seen this musical 3 times, including the first national tour in 1989 or 90...geez im old!😂 Anyway, Haley was awesome as Fantine and the cast was also terrific

How do they choose who gets to do their solos and who have to do the tribute/group numbers? If you're wanting to make it to the finale it seems sort of unbalanced...
Haley Maness one finalist comes medley 1, medley 2, and both tribute numbers :)
I still don't understand how does it works
Bram even if you don’t have a solo a couple of days before the performance you perform for the “judges” and that’s where they mainly select their finalist from!
So there are at least 6 group numbers and they pick 4 girls and 4 boys from those to become finalists and perform their solo. No one performs a solo unless you get to the final 8.
It's decided by an audition beforehand, not your performance in the Jimmy awards showcase :)
