This show sets a really high bar. Among the new shows this season there are some good ones but I haven't seen one that grabbed me like monster dude number eight.
Kafka is an amazing MC. The writers were cooking when they wrote him!

I don’t know why but Kafka has it difficult more than you should expect when jumping into this series and faces so many challenges yet still stands happy as can be which is inspiring.
When it got calm and peaceful during Kafka and Shinomiya father's fight it reminds me of the Zuko vs Azula Last Agni Ki at the end of Avatar when all you can hear is the violins playing and the sound of the fire it was so peaceful but the tension was so high.

Aight Jami, I don't usually take to playing devil's advocate, but for this one i feel it might be important to shed some light on something:
On the matter of Isao Shinomiya
Literally EVERYONE ELSE with a right to vote on the matter( clearly excluding Mina and Kikoru) were dead set on killing Kafka and turning him into a weapon if possible
The only vote against the matter was, in fact, Isao's, which not only clearly states his opinion on the matter especially because he stood against the tide of votes and went against them all, but it also demonstrates his influence and position of command that it only took him against the ENTIRE boards of the association to effect that change.
He sees something in Kafka worth taking the risk, and if it inspired such passionate words from someone so usually distant and professional as Mina, and whose influence to Kikoru was strong enough to make her do the unthinkable and stand against her father on the matter, then there is definitely much more than meets the eye, and he is brave enough to trust that which he hates most.
Im not trying to change your mind on anything, im just saying, i respect this of him and i think it merits mentioning
