- I finally got the BlugGuitar nano cab! Here are my thoughts on it, after having used it live in a few different settings. I also show some live clips recorded on my Tascam DR40.
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Barber Electronic Small Fry Burn Unit
Boss CS3
Boss DD3 Delay
Voodoo lab Sparkle Drive
DV Mark GH250
Sony A6300
Sigma Lenses
Godox SL60 W
Panasonic LX100 - Hudba
Enjoyed sitting in with, Guthrie Kennard. If you like the vibe of that gig, I've just filmed a couple of studio type recordings with Guthrie, that I'll be posting up in the near future. Cheers, Ben.
Nice work, I like ur slide playing. Everything sounded good except vocals were a little low. Look forward to ur posts.
@@zac3392 Thanks, man! The mic was placed behind the PA, so the vocals were never going to come out very loud unfortunately. I was originally only going to take solos from the recording to show the cab in a live setting, but I thought the vocals were just loud enough to get away with it. Ben
Great review. Thanks 🙏
Thank you, appreciated!
Just saw this. I want one of these.
Hey Jon! Excellent cab, been using it for everything. I changed my speaker out for a greenback a few months ago, little smoother on the gain sounds. It does mean it's a very low power cab now, so I have to be careful not to drive it too hard. Still plenty loud for the things I'd use a 1x12 for though.
@@BenFletcherGuitarHi Ben! Just bought one! I'll use it with the Amp 1 and Blubox. I'll be trying it out later so I'll let you know whether the blubox helps.
Sounds alright to me. I had an amp 1 but sold it long story . I nearly bought a nano cab, anyway now I want a small quality cab to drive quilter superblock uk pedal style amp. Si my question is, if it got stolen would you buy another one? Cheers
Very nice! Sounds really good. What was your signal chain?
Thanks, man! Boss CS3 - Barber Small Fry Burn Unit - Boss DD3 - DV Mark Gh250 amp on the clean channel - BluGuitar Nano Cab. Cheers, Ben.
I was interested in this cab, but read a "pro" reviewer saying that it does not sound very good for lower volume / medium gigs, only sounds good for loud performances. Do you agree?
Thanks!
I'd actually be inclined to say the opposite. I think it's right there up to fairly loud band gigs, but then does this odd fog horn type projection of the sound past a certain point. I thought I was hearing things, but I managed to capture it on a recording a while back. It's a good cab though. I think anything where you'd need more volume than this can easily chuck out, you'd be mic'ing up anyway. I have another video on my channel where I switch out the stock speaker. There's no need to do that, the Blug one is great, but there are some isolated examples if you want to hear it outside of a mix. Cheers, Ben
@@BenFletcherGuitar Thanks Ben, I really appreciate your take!
Sounds great at low volume.. lots of balance.. speaker is great.. cab is very directional
@@robinstahlbaum9813 I recommend the deeflexx. Expensive but works.
