I really like the cab sounds in this. I also like it as a stand alone unit along with (any) modelling device. Instant cab changes without having to delve into the menus, etc. Great desktop device.

When I played for a living, I had to have two amps to get all of the sounds from my Custom Gibson SG I needed. That was either an Orange with a 4 x 12 cab, plus a Fender Twin Reverb, or a Mesa Boogie II with a 4 x 12 + the Twin Reverb. At home, I like the sound of the (Fender) 2 x 12 for clean and the (Marshall) 67 4 x 12. No surprise, eh? It seems that many gigs these days require playing a extremely reduced stage volumes or NO stage volume. Adapt or die. Mr Blug has provided us with solutions ... and we can still have a decent tone and feel when we play. (I do not miss lugging around my old gig!)
Fellow Amp 1 Mercury edition devotee here - I am using the cabzeus cab sim from GFI systems - it also sounds amazing but additionally offers a dual mic feature - so from the Rec Out of the Amp1 I can get a dual mic sim and choose which cab - sims of celestion, jensen and eminence speakers - it's worth checking out....
Thats curious because the Amp1 Rec Out is a analog cab sim. I use the Speaker Out to the Blubox. I wonder what happens there to accept the power output without being a load, but it sounds great.
Great sounds out of this! I have an iridium arriving tomorrow, and I also have a fractal FM3. My initial thought is to do a four cable set up using the effect loop of the iridium into the fractal for my effects and then using a second loop of the fractal and having that only do cabinet simulation out to the house PA, and then speaker output from the iridium into a 112 cab behind me. I know this will work because I’ve used it a couple of times with other small pedal type amps, but in your experience, how does the blubox compare to the built-in cabinet simulation of the quad cortex? I have a couple of friends who really are not fans of using cabinet IR’s and they both say that there is an aggressive upper mid range sharpness to the sound that doesn’t exist in real cabinets.
Hello Jack, enjoying your demo on this box. But your voice gets lost in the mix. It's not the first time this happens but for me I really wanted to hear everything you were saying. I am looking into buying the box with the amp you are playing. I had to keep playing it over and over and turning it up loud. But lol 😆 but the funny thing is, you started to talk lower lol. Why would a speaker sound like a tube? I have blubox , recorded multiple times, played live, it sounds fantastic and is usable in most scenarios. If you are looking for processed and post-produced sounds, look into digital modelers. For live and studio Blubox is a pure win. Engineers and players love it.

There’s reverb on the Bluguitar so I’m guessing that’s what he’s using

I watched this video and bought one. I’m now sending it back. It sounds sterile and fake. Not very tube like. This is a fail!
