it's your opinion and I respect but sometimes the Edit versions are much better than the originals but everyone has their own opinion and it's envy the friend
I'll never understand the mindset of American people. I never watched the show, but I do remember hearing about it. Especially, since it's a weekly soap opera and the topic of why it had Americans captivated. Yet, I'm the oddball because the storyline was too ridiculous and I didn't get caught up in madness of romanticizing a violent crime. Despite the warm and romantic feel of the song, which it is and their beautiful voices. But, the connection and the controversy behind it is on the soap opera General Hospital's characters Luke & Lara, where he raped her, but she ends up falling in love with him. ABC got flooded by viewers wanting to know who sang it and where to buy the song. The "Rape" and it's storyline was a 1st. to be televised, talked about and shockingly, because she falls for her rapist. Upon their separation within the show, they'd play this "romantic" song juxtaposed to her longing for her rapist lover. Unheard of and unthinkable. Really?! Pining over the absence of her rapist to which viewers knowingly accepted that SHE liked it. And, the soaps highest rating is when they got married?! But, it's show business and anything for ratings and viewership. Which is why today's television and NONSENCE is so ridiculous, because it's all been done and now it's just something to fill the airwaves. No substance or intrinsic value. Just garbage. But, everytime I hear this beautiful song, all I think about is the weird and kinky sex life of Luke & Lara and of how she falls in love with her rapist. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby,_Come_to_Me_(Patti_Austin_and_James_Ingram_song) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_and_Laura groovyhistory.com/luke-laura-rape-general-hospital-herb-alpert/2
