The reason why you couldnt place the lord manor was not of object being to far or something. You needed to pay 450 gold upfront cost while you only had 300 gold. So that was the reason.
I seen that also. I'm assuming he has poor vision as he misses things like that quite frequently. I do love his content however. I just scream at my screen from time to time. 🤷🏻♂️😉😅🤣

The lord manor was gliching, cause you deleted parts that being build...
And you can build lord manor outside your town border, but you need to pay more attention to the upfront cost
The envoy is running not because you haven't build the lord manor, it's because you let him waiting for too long, there is a certain amount of time the envoy will be waiting for you

Just speculation but i believe the issue you had was when you removed the banners there was nothing left to construct, so the building never actually flagged as complete. When you gave it something to build it did the job and flagged the manner as done.

Wow, I had ignored this for awhile. Customizable buildings! This is what Stronghold 3 wishes it was. I can't wait until it's out of early access. Gonna want to give it a shot.
music in this game reminds me of music in WoW.
If you want a splendiferous church but want to keep it small, just build identical parts on top of each other. The villagers can still use it, the splendor increases but you have a compact building.
I think the initial problem with your Lord Manor was the upfront gold cost.
Really hope this makes it on Mac, no reason why it wouldnt, its similar to CIV6 & Northgard graphically wise.

No, not the upfront cost, it's because of the second tower's door that outside of your land, so the builder can't build it because it wasn't your land to built.

I guess the manor glitched out, because you cancelled all the components that were unfinished. I'm GUESSING that the game checks the completion of the building every time it finishes a component (are there unfinished components left? If yes, continue building; if not, tag "building complete" or something like that.) It never reaches that checkpoint, because there are no components left to finish, and the code does not inquire the checkpoint in any other situation. Moving old components doesn't fire the checkpoint, as they are already finished, but building a new component does fire it, when it's finished. I saw that you had built one more bush in the building, that would align with my idea. In other words, a minor oversight by the developers.
I'd imagine it'd be easy for the developers to fix it by adding some sort of timer to the code, that also checks the building status every 10 seconds or something. Maybe make it a global timer, checking every unfinished building after X amount of frames. Other option would be to make the checkpoint fire one frame after unpausing the game, if user moves/edits a component, but that would not fix the issue, if the user never edits the building.
I'm not a coder by any means, I write code as well as a chimpanzee paints high art, but I've troubleshooted my own shoddy scripts enough to have some kind of idea what might be the problem. Please do report that bug to the developer, if you haven't already. :)

Well, there is no real 'finishing' this game. You can build as big as you like with no real goal. Like Cities: Skylines!

@@Raptoria i think you have to provide much much More space. In my Case as soon as they are promoted they leave the upgraded 6 people straw house and build an new 2 people House. I cant Trigger them to Upgrade this House in Addition. So much space for smaller Houses is a way at First.
But you are right, very very beautiful Game and still fun to Play.
