That had happened to me when I was 11 years old that I saw a cat in the backyard of my family’s house. At that time my family had a cat. I went outside to see the cat. He went under the deck and started meowing. I was talking to that cat a few minutes later he started to cuddling with me. The next morning he was curled up next to the patio door. It took a month and a half to adopted him. Our first cat and him became friends really quickly. He was a wonderful cat and was my best friend for a little bit over 12 years. That cat was very special pet.

They are cool. I think they get a bad rap, because they are considered so independent, but that cat clearly enjoyed the human interaction. Dogs are great too. It always breaks my heart seeing a stray cat or dog.

I'm sure, deep down, you know it is unfair to categorically dismiss and berate an entire species simply because you have a poor opinion of them. Clearly, dogs are capable of loving their owners or they wouldn't be considered "man's best friend" (man is referring to mankind, in case you don't like the phrasing).
At the end of the day, domesticated dogs and cats learn to depend on their humans for food and shelter, so you really can't reasonably claim that only dogs do this. We take care of them and they shower us in love. I think that's a pretty good deal for both parties.
Just so you know, I am absolutely more of a cat lover than a dog lover, but I also respect dogs and understand that barking is just their way of communicating in many situations. Is barking annoying? It definitely can be, but a lot of the time, unruly, loud dogs are products of the way they were raised. Dog owners need to take more care in how they raise their pups so behavioral issues can be avoided.
What I'm trying to say is both dogs and cats deserve to be loved and cared for. Your scathing rebuke of dogs just shows you don't understand them very well.

That used to be somebody's cat. A stray cat isn't that friendly and that trustworthy a people. I hope whoever that is to that little Kitty home, Because it deserves a home. It's so sweet.
"Used to be" my foot. Look at its shaved belly. That cat was fixed quite recently. It probably just got lost- assuming it isn't just having a nap while its owner is out.
The shaved belly indicates she was recently fixed, but the notched ear indicates she was likely a stray that was picked up by animal control, fixed, and released.

This kitty is a well cared for stray. Very friendly, well fed, not sickly, and looks to be recently TNRed when this video was filmed judging by the shaved belly and ear tip trim.

Yep my rescue has a clipped ear, he was apart of a tnr colony. They vaccinate them and fix them. It is better for them to stay in their wild colony, keeps stray populations down.

She lives outside, but we provide a tiny heated house in the winter and food supplements (incl Dinovite). She keeps us free of rodents and rabbits (rodents provide the ideal amino acid balance for cats), goes on walks with us, and sits in our laps outside. We keep up her rabies and one other vax. We took her to the vet for an abscess from a fight with another cat, but otherwise fresh air, fresh food, and exercise result in robust health. She is curious about indoors, but finds it too stuffy to stay for any length of time. Except on July 4 - then she comes in and cowers under the couch until the fireworks are over.

Not everyone can take a cat home, for so many potential reasons that I don't feel the need to write them because it shouldn't be too hard to think about what they could be.
There are many outdoor cat communities, which are fed and cared for by many people, who agree to it, in the neighborhood. When a cat appears ill, they trap it, and them take it to the vets. Many people will set up warm shelters for them as well.
