The big guns came out to support Alba on this one. Very fitting. To remember Alba on A Tisket A Tasket and Royal Garden Blues is to put it all in perspective. What a talent and such a gracious young lady. Her future playing will be of great interest to me and many others. Go, Alba!!!!

Otro gran video de la órbita Chamorro. Este hombre se ha ganado a pulso la nominación al premio Princesa de Asturias de las Artes, a ver si alguien presenta su candidatura (no sé como funciona ese tema). Respecto a la interpretación, como siempre, de super lujo. Alba en su línea de extraordinaria saxofonista, no desmerece absolutamente nada al invitado Ted Nash. Cárdenas y Allison son nuevos en estas grabaciones de "Chamorro`s House", está bien que se renueven los invitados y no sean siempre los mismos. Y el grupo de saxos con los ex-chavales de la SAJB, Elia, Joan, Koldo y Marçal (que no Lola Peñaranda, como erróneamente pone en los créditos, maestro). Y el propio Chamorro, que últimamente parece haber dejado un poco de lado el contrabajo para dedicarse al saxo. ¿Reciclaje o cura de desintoxicación? ... Y los muy grandes Marc y Arnáu completando la mini orquesta de matrícula de honor. Pocas veces he visto tanto talento junto en una habitación tan pequeña ...

O faz com maestria.
Um homem notável,talentoso,respeitado.
Fico impressionado com o nível desses jovens,que têm o privilégio de tocar e aprender com veteranos de alto naipe.

I've been following Alba's career for some years and this is my favorite solo of hers, a lovely sound too.
Andrea Motis recorded two fine versions of this great jazz standard and now this one from Alba who has developed into a great baritone. A lovely swinging version with Alba backed by brilliant musicians, a joy to listen to.

One of many songs I played twice to better appreciate. It's midniight in the U.S., so I'm listening with high quality headphones. When the sun comes up I will fill the whole house with sound through my TV and sound system.
One could write paragraphs of praise for the whole band, but I did want to mention how effortlessly she plays.

This is a real treat for those of us bottom-end aficionados, with that twin baritone line-up, great bass, piano and guitar work (this nicely syncopated), with tight ensemble sax playing and satisfying solos. Wonderful warm and rich sound balance in the recording. Enhorabona catalans y los demás! And the key provider behind everything, Joan Ch, so modestly discreet!
No show, no nothing. Just pure music. Hardly any movement and still: You can feel the soul flowing through all of them.
